And that translates to how many American $'s? Most of us Americans lead lives sheltered from the rest of the world :D

$40?

They fvcking charge $57 (for non cable tv subscribers) a month for 1500/128k cable here.

If they do upgrade the speeds to what you're getting, I won't mind switching over from SBC DSL.:)

About $37.50 ish. Probably a bit more with at he moment.

£1 ~ $1.5-6

I'm happy with 600kbps for £25 a month. I definately wouldn't pay for more speed. Just not worth it to me. Rather spend the extra on something else personally.

They just did it... I downloaded a file and was like "holy crap, 380 KB/s?" average is about 360... but when I get a real good site it gets as high as 385

god i hate you cable bastards lol
actually i hate my damn roomates who went and contracted with dsl without consulting me
"oh its the same download rate as cable" well how do you like it now when i saturate the connection 24/7 huh?

sbc should upgrade all their standard 2mbps packages to 6mbps, that would be so sweet
wonder if we're even at a good distance from the telcom for that

I just recently got Traffic Shaping, so, it'll take them awhile to upgrade our caps. And why no upgrade in upload speed? 256 bites.

I don't think we even have a date set yet for the rollout. maybe they aren't the only game in town in the markets they are upgrading already. Maybe they figure that we will wait because we have to, what choice do we have, DSL? I'm too far from the CO to get decent speeds.
