Everything has been working fine for 2 years until 3 days ago.
When I try to go on the internet, it send me to the comcast activation page. I reboot everything, issue still occurs. I call Comcast, they do their "magic", then tell me to hook my computer straight to the cable modem. After i reboot the modem, everything works.
I hook the router back up, it brings me back to the Xfinity activation page. I call Comcast again...spend an hour with the tech with no solution. They put me on hold for the upper level. After waiting 30 minutes, they gave me the option to get a call back, so i picked.
I poke around my network settings and see that my local dns is 0.0.0.0 on the router. Not sure why it was that, but it was supposed to be the google 8.8.8.8 address. Rather than mess around, I get the regular DNS server (by hooking my computer up) and boom, it works.
Fast forward 2 hours later (1AM in the morning), the upper level tech calls me back and leaves a message on my cell.
Fast Forward to today....the issue is happening again. Not sure what to do now. I re-entered the DNS server (got a new number from hooking my computer to the modem) and the issue still occurs
So, what magic do I need to do with my router?
I have a Moto WR850G with DDWRT.
