I can't believe it. You can't get "Star Wars"! ???? :Q ????

Oh man, nor "Raging Bull"

or "Children of Paradise" (Les Enfants du Paradis)

or "The Seventh Seal"

or even "Boom".

Right now, these are the ONLY DVD's I'd want to own. Bah!

Is this the truth? I don't see any of these at this link.

just signed up for a 2nd account...

Memento (LE)
True Romance (DC)
Speed (5 Star)

Here's a few that aren't available at this time....

Grease
Saturday Night Fever
Blade II
Swingers (CE)
Better Off Dead
Changing Lanes
Panic Room
Amadeus (DC)
Sweetest Thing, The (CE)
Trading Places

Had to settle for Speed or the Mummy (UE) since they didn't have any of the others avail.

This won't necessarily "maximize" your savings, but I ordered "Ghost World" and "Sweet Hereafter" a couple of weeks ago to fulfill a previous membership commitment. I hadn't personally heard of these, but the critics liked them.

You could also pick up the Coen brothers flicks: Raising arizona, Oh Brother, hudsucker proxy, big lebowski. Neither are expensive, but you can't buy them elsewhere for $7.

Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" & "Straight Story"

And, there are always the Kubrick fllicks (7 available). I ordered "Clockwork orange" and "Barry Lyndon" this morning.

just got one of my enrollment packages yesterday, called and cancelled while driving home on the 405. the guy asked if i wanted to use the same code as the previous account, so that saved me the trouble of explaining it to them. anyways, i got off the phone and i was just about to hit Santa Monica Blvd. damn, this deal is gonna make me broke.

Hmm... I got in on this deal last week and now I'm starting to think. I don't think that these DVD's will fit in my mailbox (I live in an apartment and the mailboxes are more like PO boxes). Darn, Darn, Darn, Darn, Darn. Anyone know the size of the package they send?

They should be about the same size as the DVD's themselves - you know, like one of those dvd packages you get from Amazon or whatever that just encases the DVD, protecting it from scuffing or scratching.

received my first enrollment package under this code...it's the same size as their standard enrollment boxes...holds around 7 DVDs. they don't cushon them either, so they'll rattle around inside the box.

I see a lot of people ordering LOTR, and just a FYI but its just a couple weeks until the Special Edition 4 DVD set comes out. Reviews I have read say things like, best transfer I have ever seen etc. OTOH I am not holding my breath for the 4 DVD set to show at CH.

Also for the people with the lists, its a no brainer, get the expensive stuff you want NOW, worry about the cheaper stuff later.

My first three were

Bridge on the river Kwai super duper edition
Lost color archives of WW II
somethng else the wife wanted.

I ordered my first set 10/21, my card was charged 10/25, and I got the package 10/30 (Keep in mind, I live about a 2 hr drive from Terre Haute, so shipping is pretty fast.)
