Hey -

I was cruising the DVD Talk forums, and there is a new savings code. It works for PHONE or MAIL orders ONLY! However, you can just call 1-800-CHC-DVDS and place the order with a credit card on the phone. I placed the order today. Just tell them the savings code is XB6D (which you got "from a mailing"), and if they ask for a personal savings code, tell them that you don't have it in front of you, can't find it, dog ate it, etc. If they won't do it without the PSC, just hang up and call a different operator. This deal gives you nothing more to buy, just cancel your membership when the bill comes. You *may* also be able to do this multiple times. You can get any "enrollment selection" and any other disc as the bonus $14.95 disc. I picked up a Bond special edition, LOTR, and Black Hawk Down for about $22! Sales tax varies by state. The DVD Talk CQ FAQ thread has lists of all the enrollment DVD choices, and lists of the more expensive DVDs that you can use as enrollment and fulfillment selections. They have an awesome forum there!

-2 DVD's @ 0.49 = $0.98
-Bonus DVD = $14.95
-S&H 3(1.99) = $5.97
=Total = $21.90
*Average per disc = $7.30*

Cheers!

Ordered 3 DVDs for 21.80 + tax. Hopefully it just takes a quick cancel once they come to be rid of Columbia House. :)

Complicated? You punch in a certain code and then get the DVD's you want. How is that complicated?

Great deal. Just picked up:

Starship Troopers: Special Edition - MSRP $27.95
Legend: Ultimate Edition - MSRP - $24.98
Highlander: Immortal Edition - MSRP $39.95

Total paid = $21.90 +tax

And to make the deal even more sweet, I already have the old edition of Starship Troopers. I can sell that on eBay for $10 or so.

Appearently, you haven't done the CH club thing before. All you have to do is write "CANCEL MEMBERSHIP" across the first monthly selection card they send you, drop it in the mail, and that's the end of it.

Yes, you can have 2 accounts open at one time. Anymore than that and you may get banned.

YES!!! This is a sweet a$$ deal. I seen it over at DVD talk forum first.

Here are the 3 DVD I got.

Bottle Rocket
Big Trouble in Little China - Special Edition
Meet Joe Black Ultimate Edition

All for $21 plus CA tax.

If you think it is complicated, here is a quick dummies guide.

1. Go to www.columbiahouse.com and check out what DVD that you want.
2. Write down the 3 title and title # that you want.
3. Call up 1-888-242-3837 and give the CS the savings code XB6D.
4. Tell them you want the 2 DVD for .49 cents and the 3rd one for $14.99.
5. Once you receive your DVD, just call up Columbia House up again and tell them you want to close your account.
6. DONE

One more thing, if they ask for a PSN #, just tell them you lost it and can?t find the number.

Thanks for the post. The rep did ask for a PSN, but let me pass without it. Ordered some David Lean movies.
