This cannot be stated enough. Vinatieri is a traitorous **** stick.

Wait...wait....you're calling the guy who kicked two super bowl winning FGs (and that just the SBs) for your favorite team a traitor?

You fucking idiot. The NFL is a business and he got paid by going to Indy.

Yes.

On a positive note - I think the Colts O-line did an amazing job considering they ended the game with a couple of practice squad guys on it

What are the rules for "officials review"?

THx

Yeah this call was pretty shady too. Live action it looked clean but when I heard Michaels or Madden say he reached for the flag then didn't pull it, then saw the replay, I almost wtfed out loud.

chalk that up to those Make up calls when they didn't call DPI on the colts involving gates on the previous drive.

After the 2-minute warning of each half, and in overtime, reviews can only take place if the replay assistant, who sits in the press box and monitors the network broadcast of the game, determines that a play needs review. In those cases, the replay assistant will contact the referee by a specialized electronic pager with a vibrating alert.

Thanks. I think I've heard that before, now that you've spelled it out.

Wow. I hope the replay assistants are anonymous. That particular one isn't going to be very popular :)

Sucks to be an Indy fan right now, but that was an interesting game to say the least.

Yeah it seemed to me too that Payton didn't care and gave up on that last play. I think they may have had a better shot had they tried for a 30-40 yard, middle of the field completion, then call a timeout with 1 or 2 seconds left.

That would have gave them the chance at least for AV to redeem himself and win the game.

When was this? I don't remember feeling like there should've been a PI call against the Colts and I would definitely look for it since Gates is on my team.

Uh, he jumped ship, didn't he? The only reason he jumped was because he got to kick in a dome at indy to close out his career where it's easy as pie for kickers to kick FG. If he stayed around, Boston would have treated him like a king... he'd get free meals and blowjobs for life. That ****er can go to hell for all i care.

This would have worked great except for the fact that they had no timeouts and Chris Webber doesn't play football.

I think fans take athlete departures too seriously. He left for more money. Can you say you would honestly would do different? To the players it's a business. So what if it's easier for him to kick FG's?

Adam did so much for us Pats fans, I have nothing bad to say about him.

Oh, my bad, I thought they had 1 TO left.

 for the Webber reference. :)

He didn't really leave for that much more than we were offering him... if anything, he was going to more than make up for it in New England based endorsements alone... that ****er just thought he could extend his career a bit in a dome environment. He can go **** himself.

I don't think it's the fact that he left the Pats that angers Patriot Fans. More like they're angry that he left to the Colts, and not for that much more money all things considered.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. So many Pats trolls there too. Like 1500 viewing those forums now.

yeah, the trolling is weak. i do take silent humor at indy fans whipping themselves into a frenzy.

Good question. Steelers would have the 2nd seed right now considering Indy's 2 losses are in conference. Comes down to which team has the tougher remaining schedule, which might be the Colts if only because their conference looks to be pretty tough.

Do most Patriot fans really hate Vinatieri because he didn't stay in NE his entire career? Show some appreciation...he was a huge part of winning those 3 super bowls. You're giving Patriot fans a bad rep. Stay classy, NE :D

I certainly hold nothing against AV. (See my above post) He meant a ton to NE for years. Power to him for being a good business man and getting what he can get.
