isn't conventional wisdom you take the score whenever you can get it?

seems to me they are playing martyball here. will be interesting to see if it works.

manning seems to have the confidence that he'll convert every 3rd down tho.

if they get the first down here, they can run the clock down and kick the FG to win the game.
