All my searches have resulted in links to individual printers. I'm looking for a list of printers. Maybe my search queries aren't great, but here is what I'm trying to get. (And I hope someone out there has done before) The best I've been able to come up with is going to newegg and using their guided search to create a list, but that only gives me a list of what newegg sells. I'm looking for a list of what exists that fit my needs.

I want a list of color-laser multifunction printers that have built-in duplex units and network connectivity. My working definition of multifunction includes printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. This is intended for a home office environment, so the units that have 5 paper trays and stand 4ft tall are not really being considered. I think that some of my requirements are a bit steep, so here's the order of priority, from most important to least important.

1) Printing/scanning/copying
2) Automatic duplex
3) Built in networking
4) Faxing

I'm not looking to purchase now. I'm looking to purchase about a year from now. But since I don't intend to purchase a new printer (refurb equipment is so much more student-friendly in terms of budgeting), my best guess is that I'll be looking to buy a refurb of a printer that is relatively new today. So I'm trying to put together a list of devices I should start keeping an eye out for. Has anyone compiled a list of printers that match (or even somewhat match) my requirements?

Bump.

My interest in printer research has grown again, since I'm much closer to a buy date. (It's looking to be Jan 2009)

I currently own a Samsung SCX-4100. (Mono laser, color scanner, mono copier)

I'd like to have one machine that does it all, but I'm starting to think it'll be cost-prohibitive. So far, I'm considering adding a Samsung CLP-610ND. (Color/duplex/network) I still won't have faxing (which is a okay I suppose), but it's far cheaper than the next "best" solution I've found. The 610ND is ~$400 new.

I could replace my SCX-4100 with a Brother MFC-9850CDW. It's a color laser, automatically duplexes, networks, scans, and faxes. This thing is ~$750 new.

Are there other printers I'm not noticing?

You are wasting your time. By Jan 2009 there would be new models new prices Models that disappear etc.

Some printers that appear good today might be proven bad in the future, and Not every model make it to the market as refurb.

Today I probably would buy of these

If needed I would compromise on the Fax aspect there are very inexpensive decent fax machine and many time in SOHO environment there is No advantage in tying then with the Network.
