you could get diverticulosis, however a colon rinse won't do anything for that. IMO colon rinse = worthless. Try eating more fiber. Even a fiber supplement is better than nothing. I use benefiber and I can't even taste it when it's mixed up, however I'd mix with 12oz of water instead of the recommended 8oz.

edit: obviously I'm not a doctor![]()
I'm no MD, but I'd be forced to agree. To the best of my knowledge, it's physically impossible for material to become "stuck" in any portion of your digestive system/tract for any significant period of time without causing some fairly severe (and noticeable) symptoms.
This ones for you Mr. Pickens

John Wayne had 30 lbs of compacted undigestive junk in his intestines when he died... mostly because he ate steaks as his main source of food. So that little tidbit made me wonder what I got going on in my system.
*facepalm* that's an urban legend.
edit: *looks at thread date* Oh...OOOOOOH

I drank metamucil twice a day for about a year. But it didn't prevent constipation. Only thing that will undoubtedly prevent constipation, is a healthy diet...Drink some Metamucil daily and you won't listen to ass idiots.
You are far more full of cr@p then he was. http://www.snopes.com/horrors/gruesome/fecalcolon.asp
