yep. freakin' Stanford is the worst. in some math classes 60+% of the class get As/A+s.
Geeez. Do they start curving tests when the average is below 85%?
My professors only begin to consider curving if the average goes below 70%, which is of course a C, by definition, "Average."
Through 6 semesters at this university, I've had
one test curved. My professors are generally pretty good at analyzing past test performances, and they do a fair job at making tests. At least half of my professors will give a full breakdown of grades after each test, complete with mean, median, standard deviation, and other interesting statistics.
