If you're worried about money, just buy and sell on campus. We stay out of those... you just meet the other person on campus and swap book for cash. As a seller or as a buyer you always have the option to just do on-campus stuff.
 
I already bought most of my books for this semester about 6 months ago (fruits of planning ahead and relatives visiting India 🙂 ) but I will promote the site to my friends.
