Bring a bar of soap and some Stridex with you and you should be safe.
Personally, if I'm studying with a girl whom I don't know very well, I always suggest a public place to study (usually either the library or one of the quiet areas in the Union). It works for me because then I don't have to clean my dorm room, and it works for her because she's not nervous. I'd say that the girl should show a preference for a public place, and if the guy keeps insisting on studying in his room then the girl ought to be cautious.Originally posted by: MiataGirl
hypothetically speaking..if you're a girl, and a guy invites you over to his place and asks you to study..should you be cautious that he wants to do more than just study? i mean, i'm sure most of you guys here are nice and innocent, based on lots of posts that i've read..but i'm wary that not all guys out there are as altruistic as you all may be..
Lets just generalize as much as possible here folks.

I wouldn't go anywhere with a PE major either. There is this one girl in my anthro section who is just plain scary.Originally posted by: vi_edit

from one who was an RA -
DO NOT go alone into a football, wrestler, most basketball players or fraternity members room. Also, be advised of PE majors as well.

heh, yeah. More like, '1 out of 4 girls at Ole Miss get sloppy ass drunk and don't remember enthusiastically volunteering for a DP. The return of sobriety also marks the return of the inhibitions to and shame of engaging in such behavior, they almost cannot believe they did it, so instead of having to face the consequences of their own horrible judgement, they pretend it did not happen consentually.'According to our orientation, 1 out of 4 girls at Ole Miss is raped or forced into having sex of some sort.
I saw that happen a dozen times.
College guys are no more or no less criminal than the general male population.

It's not as simple as that. Was the woman consenting and cognizant of her actions? I would say that if she wasn't completely aware of her surroundings, regardless of the answer she gave, actions like that are more easily construed as rape.
