Here's Government, touching your dick, before you board a plane.

Here's Government, on a retreat at Vail to discuss things.

Here's Government, that doesn't really care about taxes, because they can print money.

Here's to Government.

Short UK news piece: Cuts are Nuts: 'Govts in debt lie, people's rage spills on streets'

Looks like people in Europe are rising up again over new austerity measures and higher taxes to pay for the bank bailouts. Portugal is seeing a 24-hr general strike over pay cuts and taxes just before their government votes for more austerity. In the UK, government is jacking up tuition fees and cutting substantially to help pay for multiple bailouts and deficits and students there are out protesting.

It's regular people, ordinary citizens, forced to pay for these problems while losing their jobs and homes. Of course, they didn't create the problems. Meanwhile, banks continue to enjoy business as usual (along with sweet bonuses) and governments continue to be out of touch with people on the street.

The papering over of debt has to stop, bankers and financial elite who ruined people lives committing fraud need to go to jail, corrupt/complicit government officials dealt with, and the underlying reasons why this happened (and may continue happening) have to be examined. We just can't keep absorbing these meltdowns.

Great reply, filled with Cynicism, unsupressed misdirected Anger, and a hint of Eliteism. You dont really fit in anywhere do you.

You capitalized "Cynicism" and "Elitism," misspelled "elitism," left a "p" out of "unsuppressed," forgot the apostrophe in "don't, left out the comma after "anywhere," and used a period rather than a question mark after "you."

Theophilus20, you're off to a great start IMO. Not taking the shit these folks can dish out is worthy of a thumbs up.

Most of the crybabies in this thread are actually upset because the trouble in Ireland is another nail in the coffin of that model of European Socialism they covet so greatly. Some of us have been telling them for years that it doesn't work and is not sustainable but they're loathe to give it up.

First Greece, now Ireland, next Spain and Portugal. It's very distressing to them. Their teachers told them it not only worked, but that is was preferable to the form of government we used to have.

Hey, I gotta ask though, WWYBYWB?
