Harvey's standard jackass response if it is news he doesn't like from a source he doesn't like.
Better?

Yes, Obama spent his entire life in public service for the sole reason of destroying the country and the very people he was trying to help.

Yep, all 2 years of it(in the senate).

Interesting that you consider only national elected office public service.

That would make Palin as capable as Obama. Is that what you are saying here?

Nope, cause she's a woman. That already puts her at a disadvantage.*

*Ask an absurd question, get an absurd answer.

Absurd? It was a reasonable response to the previous posters statement above unlike your comment.

Thank you Barry for this wonderful demonstration of why freedom of the press is so important. When one only reads one orientation of sources, one quickly becomes an ignorant moron.

Not reallly. That's just a blog, and from what I could find of the author's other writings, she's a mediocre right winger, not that bad, but not very good at analytical thinking.

At least, you can't give me crap for not doing my homework and checking her out.

Just as you guys were so interested in him and talked so highly of him 6 months ago. Now?? I guess he is back to being a Republican?

Well if you believe what some people say about the Bilderberg group wants to do to the US, which is of course a conspiracy theory... then what Obama is doing certainly plays into the theorized Cloward-Piven Bilderberg orchestration.

tax cuts were and are generally successful... obviously dreegulation sucked but was not entirely the fault of the R's alone.

disclaimer: i voted for Obama.

So Barry, which is it?

You are simply wasting time clouding the argument rather than actually addressing it... Powell is obviously an intelligent, experienced, and respected persona.

His comments should give everyone cause for mild concern, at least.

Hey Obama went to Harvard to acquire a pedigree to get into politics. Obama has been a radical for a long time. Behind the synthetic 007 facade the media lets him get away with his a heart that echos with "God Damn America!".

This is why friends like UK or Israel are getting thrown down the well while Obama supports dictators who are much like he is.

I always said Obama wasn't a Muslim either and that his "Christianity" was of the black liberation theology brand (black Jesus vd Evil crackers). Obama also threw the great Muslims of Iran down the well.

Obama cares about Obama. His "health care" and cap and charade etc are about power and mayhem.

We joust and joke around here but libs, conservs whatever - we are all in trouble if this guy isn't controlled. There is no solar paradise at the end of Obama's road map. He might go down the well himself if his backers decide as much.

Well i don't know about all that... lol. That is a lot of speculation is all I'm saying.

Colin Powell said this in 1996, "I became a Republican because I believe, like you, that the federal government has become too large and too intrusive in our lives. We can no longer... (applause) We can no longer afford solutions to our problems that result in more entitlements, higher taxes to pay for them, more bureaucracy to run them, and fewer results to show for it. (applause)." He then goes on to vote for Obama, what a joke this man is. I like to think back to Dave Chappelle's racial draft, you Democrats can have Powell.

I stopped reading when the moron that started this thread started to talk about the 'plan' behind ACORN..

A handful of $8 an hour people faking the number of voters they got to register is one of the tools of this grand plan?

/facepalm

Asshats like you two are so damn consumed by the eternal fight between (D) and (R) that you're completely ignorant of the fact most intelligent citizens do not entirely identify with either party; and that they choose, instead, to apply common sense as a filter when examining any specific issue.

In this particular case, I completely agreed with Powell's support for Obama during the campaign, as I ended up voting for Obama as well; and, I ALSO share Powell's concerns about Obama's current out-of-control spending habits.

Have you given the actual issue any thought, or are you too busy worrying about the (D) in front of your own name and in your mouth?

Try to ignore the OP's name and all that Cloward-Piven nonsense thrown in, and then separate out and intelligently examine Collin Powell's concerns alone. Can you do that? Do you have a Common Sense Filter handy?

^ in other words: Powell has an (obvious) point about trying to do too much, but OP uses that to springboard into paranoid nonsense. I completely agree.
