Coffee vs. Beer

Haven't had coffee for years now, but since I started working on these boring projects I've found myself nodding off a few times..so I decided to turn to this wonderful drug called caffeine..which, so far has definitely done the trick.

I've pretty much kicked my addiction to caffine, so I can live without the coffee. But I haven't struck upon a beer that I like, so I suppose that I can live without that as well.

I'd do away with beer since I don't drink it nearly as much as coffee.

Coffee every morning for me but beer maybe every few months.

I drink and like both but there's no way I'd keep coffee over beer. ****** that. If I needed the caffeine I could drink pop or Rockstar energy drink (god I love that stuff).

Coffee by a large margin, there are other ways to get drunk, with drinks that actually taste good too.

There are other ways to get caffeine as well, from tea to energy drinks to soda to pills..

well i don't drink much coffee (wife gets sick on teh smell of it being made 🙁 )

and i do enjoy the taste of good beer. so i can live without coffee.

Both coffee and beer are acquired tastes unless like myself you are a genetically predisposed Norwegian. The problem most Americans have with the taste of either coffee or beer is the incredible amount of bad coffee and beer we produce. Bad habits need cultivation otherwise, we are only ambassadors of wretched excess!

Maybe he's actually saying that given the fact that both alcohol and caffeine can be found in alternative sources then beer and coffee respectively, that he'd rather live without the taste of beer?

It's a REALLY hard choice for me. I love the wide and varied flavors of coffee. I don't drink it for the caffeine since it has very little effect on me. Same goes for beer (although alcohol does effect me). I would probably give up beer and rely on other forms of alcohol. I enjoy coffee too much and drink it more often then beer.
