WTF are you talking about? Bethesda doesn't have any $60 pc games.

I'm not whining idiot. Maybe your mommy buys you all the games that you want, but I work for a living. Why would I WASTE $10 extra dollars that I could use or another game or two. Or even save it for something else.

Wasting money is retarded. Your not getting a better game for the extra money. It is the same exact game as if it would of been if it was $50.

Console games cost $60 cause of the $10 licencing fee from Sony and Microsoft. If there wasn't one, console games would also cost $50. Activision is just jacking an extra $10 out of everyone for free retard.

Notice how MW2 is still $60, and BC2 is $20? It's greed, BC2 is way better then MW2.

oh, whats this then?

I'm not saying I like the $60 price but others have said, pc games have been the same price for a long time. what about inflation?

So why can't they make them games for $40, or 30 or even 20? If it's the same game at 50 as it is at 60, its going to be the same game at 20, right?

What games are you buying for $10 let alone 2 for $10?

lol, i also like how you resort to name calling when you don't have a valid response.

He works for a living, but his job isn't good enough to allow him to spend an extra $10 on something he can get hours of enjoyment out of.

I pre-ordered it today. It is a bit steep in price but it's not a deal breaker to me.

Last game I bought was MW2 a year ago and before that World at War so one game a year is about all I buy anyway.

Ummm, Doom 3 was not even close to the most expensive game when it came out.
It was relatively expensive for a popular game coming out at that particular time.

Quality is way down though.

I disagree. PC has ALWAYS had a ton of crappy games and a few shining stars. It still does. It's just back in the day, the level of possible quality was not nearly as high and therefore people's standards were lower. People today have too high of standards and ignore crappy looking games that are actually pretty fun.

have they or are you just settling for less powerful parts now? Higher end components are still pricey.

Video cards seem to have historically gone up, as well as harddrives, and processors... hell you can spend a pretty penny on a case these days. Don't know why someone thinks prices have gone down. New technology and harder to find resources will always push tech prices up until we completely collapse the economy and make way for matter replication.

So, people are upset that the price of games have risen $10 in like 15 years when the price of everything else is nearly doubled?

Uh, I distinctly remember paying $75-80 for new cartridge games...

computer components have also gotten cheaper

not everything goes up in price with time

Yup processors, memory, video cards, monitors, are all cheaper and you get more.

The only problem I have with video game pricing is that mostly quality and substance in games have gone down. Singleplayer games now normally run no more than 8hrs and multiplay has been dumbed down as well since video games have finally become extremely mainstream with this generation so they need to cater to the average person.

Why spend $60 when I can buy a $50 game and get the same ammount of enjoyment. I can then spend that $10 on a $10 game or two $5 games. And get even more.

Console games arn't going up, so why would Pc games?

You guys just like throwing money away.

What's hilarious though is that I ordered Blacks Ops for $49.99.

lol, at throwing money away...do you always buy generic items? If not, you're throwing money away.

Got my copy from D2D for $44 and change after the promo. Can't beat that. I wasn't initially interested in Black Ops until I saw that fantastic zombie mode video.

It's hard to beat Amazon's $59.99 plus exclusive wallpaper +200 Amazon points (worth $20). Especially if you're a big Amazon user.

Some one should start an official COD : Black Ops PC thread, but it's not gonna be me!
For now, I'll post this interesting info here:

Q: Is there now an answer to the Max amount of players we can have in Ranked and unranked servers on PC?

A: Current player counts are set to 18 players max on ranked and 24 on unranked, but these numbers are always tunable post-launch.

Source

That's 9v9 max for ranked. On a dedicated server?

(I'm sure there's a lot of other interesting info in that wall of text. Someone who cares a whole lot should pull it out for us. Tweakboy? )

I buy almost all my games on Steam these days, but I went with Amazon for this one.. Is this one like MW2 where you have to activate it on Steam? Does that also mean it will basically be the same as if I bought it on Steam, meaning I can d/l it again and such once it's registered with my acct?

I've never paid $60 for a PC game, but I'm willing to pay $60 for Black Ops if it's a great game. I sunk close to 150 hours into CoD 4 and if I come anywhere close to that with Black Ops, it'll be worth the money.
