Any idea what kind of numbers Nader got? Kind of interesting about the Clinton/Bush parallel. Perot mainly took votes from the Republican side, though maybe not enough in some cases to swing the vote. Nader did the same to Gore, and now possibly to Kerry. Democrats were worried enough they were suing to keep him off the ballot in some states. I also heard in some cases Republicans were trying to help get him on the ballot. Don't have time to dig up all the reports right now, but it makes me wonder what the country would be like if we had three viable parties. Of course, some would argue now that we don't even have one. ;)

The most interesting thing to me is how the networks are completely focused on Ohio. Yet, over the past couple of hours, Pennsylvania has become just as close a race. No one has even mentioned it!

John F. Kerry 2,832,795 - 51 percent
George W. Bush 2,698,560 - 48 percent

Ohio

George W. Bush 2,739,009 - 51 percent
John F. Kerry 2,600,056 - 48 percent

thats because of the Un-reporting precincts, there are prolly not enough votes there to make any real change.

Actually Pennsylvania has more open precincts than Ohio at the moment. I'm not saying that Bush will win Pennsylvania, just that it seemed reckless for networks to declare Pennsylvania for Kerry hours ago and still be waiting endlessly on Ohio.

Alas, I just want the silly election over with so that business can get back to normal.

***COAST TO COAST POLLS CLOSED*** RESULTS: It's all in alaska's hands now

Don't you realize Alaska is decided even before the polls there open...... even if the networks don't publish their prediction yet, that state is as red as it gets by a huge margin

one thing i currently dont get about my home state is, why the fvck is it so close? Kerry clearly does not support banning of gay marriages, while Ohio just voted 62/38 FOR the banning of gay marriage. i mean, whats up with that difference there?

it's over. wonder if kerry will concede? or wait till every absentee ballot is counted.

i guess considering how close most of these states are, he might as well wait.

And is it kinda funny that Washington DC voted for Kerry (by a HUGE margin)? How'll it feel for Bush to be working in a community that didn't want him there?

if you look at the electoral map, it looks a bit like the civil war. northeast vs southeast with the west coast siding with the north.
