what a great day, instead of dragging this out like gore did, kerry has done the right thing and the rightful man is president once again. not only did he win by electoral votes, he won by a huge margin in the popular vote. i guess that says something about what this country really wants.

You're right, the majority of Americans want to watch NASCAR, listen to country music, and have someone with a supposed Bible thumping ability in office. Intelligence and competency play second fiddle to these ideals.

Christ, you guys crack me up. First some people in P&N, and now you; "pack your bags and leave".

I WANT to stay. This country is great. I love my state. And I want a front row seat as this country goes to sh1t in the next 4 years. Believe me, I'll be right here, laughing all the way as America realizes how grave of an error they made on Nov. 2, 2004.

that's amusing. i don't watch nascar listen to country music or go to church and thump bibles yet i voted for bush. what i don't want is someone who has no values or morals. i don't see anyone electing you president, so i'd keep my mouth shut about being intelligent or competent.

Kerry didn't show anybody anything morally, like I said, Sammy Sosa pointing to the heavens is of higher moral fiber than Kerry. Most people would rather see a harmless imbecile running the country as opposed to a guy who has the charisma of a centipede. BTW, it's well known, even among people who voted for Bush, that Kerry is of a higher intellect who didn't play the Bible card well enough. If Kerry had been a born again priest who watched NASCAR, and promoted prochoice w/ exceptions he would have won in a landslide. If you honestly think that Bush is more intelligent than Kerry, then you have been living in a cave for the past 4 years.

I'm not saying it was an error either time; stupid is as stupid does, and that is a fact we'll all have to deal with.

The last four years drove a wedge between our country; without the fear of re-election, and with a Repub. Congress, the next four years will make for some great TV.

Seriously...overextended? Seriously killed? Seriously demoralized?

Or maybe all of the above.

Serious as in turning the place into a new parking lot, or serious in sense of being victimized by guerilla warfare for another 2 years?

i think kerry had a solid stance on ANYTHING he might have done better. a person's inability to give a speech doesn't mean they are unintelligent. the man did earn a degree for yale and an mba from harvard, i'm pretty sure they don't hand those out to just anyone.

Yes, when you're rich and your family is connected anything is possible. How Bush didn't drop out from Harvard after sniffing with the frat boys is a miracle in itself... but yes Kerry didn't wow anyone, most people voted for him out of disgust for Bush.

Yes, and you can explain to them the underpinnings of why Middle Eastern countries hate us after the first US suicide bomber is on CNN. ;)

al-Qaeda is still alive, still has cells worldwide, and has a new mandate with the war in Iraq.

But at least those WMDs in Iraq won't be hitting your town anytime soon.

Have fun with the kids!

I'm surprised Google's logo doesn't have the American flag flying upside-down from one of it's letters.
