Wow... suspension? That sucks. Here there is a rule that when a team is up by 35 points or more the clock doesn't stop in the second half. Seems to work quite well.

If a team is beating another team by 50 or more points, the need to move up from 2A to 3A or whatever the classifications the schools use. If they are in the highest classifications, then the competition needs to be moved down.

WTF? So you people actually agree with running up a score 90-0? I think this rule is stupid, but damn, show some class.

How is it not showing class? It just makes the losing team work much harder next time because they realize how crappy they are.

We had a very good local team this last year (Springdale, AR) and they had no problem at all running out the clock. They played one team and beat them (if I recall correctly) 49-3. The starters on offense played 1:30 of game time (yeah, that's 1 minute). They just went to the ground, ran the play clock out each play, etc...

i agree with sending in the 2nd and 3rd string. but to have your team just sit down on offence is just as bad as continueing to play and scoring. It shows they suck so bad they dont even have to do anything and let them have the ball. yeah that will keep them from having hurt feelings.

You don't think winning by 50 does the same thing? There comes a point where there is nothing more to be proven and 90-0 crosses way beyond that line. That shows no class.

more pussification! IF its that lopsided then the couch that lost by 50 points should be suspended NOT the one that won by 50 points.
hell if we lost by that much the next day of practice was very very hard.
