Is that with a loaded Biden or an unloaded Biden after he fired - somewhere - both barrels and now has a useless shotgun...and two holes in the house? And people thought Bush was stupid...

Hey you guys have Michelle Bachman and she is a Tea Party star.

What do you mean by "you guys"? Gun owners?

I guess you don't recall much of my post history if you think I'm a republican or pee party supporter. :( Ouch.

For the record, as a proud gun owner I reject the mental midget likes of Bachmann, Bush, Palin, etc etc as much as I reject the input of the thread's subject. I think the comparison to ignorant rape comments is fitting too.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. To my liberal friends I am a conservative hung up on the past, and to my conservative friends I'm a bleeding heart hippy too concerned with the state of the outdoors. *sigh*

No one matches Bush Jr. for being a lazy dumbshit. No one.

lanza shot ~150 rounds in 5 minutes. When police arrived, and he saw the first responders, he shot himself.

What if he was only capable of firing say, 80 rounds in 5 minute? How many kids would still be alive?

you can still fire your 30 round magazines at gun ranges. Why so angry about what is basically a dumb tool?

Reminded me of the Lone Ranger joke, "what you mean "we" white man?!"

I realize this the Left needs to cling to this to maintain their indoctrination level, but it's simply not born out by Reality. I really can't imagine on a stupid scale having an intruder present at ones house, and firing a double barreled shotgun - not at them, just...somewhere - to warn them off, leaving you unloaded and having completely violated not only standard firearms practice but any measure of common sense.

That level of stupidity basically is the lowest one could possibly go. While the mismanagement of Iraq had far greater magnitude of effect, in no way was it that level of stupid. Far greater magnitude, yet, still not at the level of stupidity.

Sorry...Biden still owns the Stupidity crown.

And you believe telling him to only put 10 rounds in a 30 round mag will stop him how? Lets say he has 10 round mags. How many more mags will he bring to the firing rage(school)?

It doesnt take long to reload a magazine. Most people can teach themselves to do it in a few seconds tops.

You're funny. Were you in a coma between 2000-2008? Living off the grid maybe?

I see a huge, easy to identify distinction between an old man famous for gaffes trying to sound informed, and a mildly retarded cheerleader like GWB. I know it's important for some to maintain this image of both parties being the same, even down to individual representation, but come on. Biden is no Rhodes Scholar, sure, but W is in a class occupied by few others. You do yourself a disservice by pretending otherwise. Biden's comments on shotguns simply cannot compete with decades of Bush ignorance. Trying to pass it all off as simple gaffes or misunderstandings (as Bush voters have been wont to do for sometime) just doesn't fly. Not to people passing on the GOP Koolaid anyway. "Indoctrination" indeed.... lol

You do realize that for a shooter bent on harm, magazine capacity limitations can be circumvented easily with a length of duck tape, right?

Shit. Guess we have to ban duck tape now.

Also, how does your example apply to crazies who aren't afraid of the responders, or are even planning it? Deeeerp

Makes alot of sense, I used to have a 22 that had 10 and 30 round mags, guess which one never jammed, the 10 round one. If I was in a life or death situation there is no way I would have the 30 round one loaded, even at the range the 30 was so unreliable that I didn't bother to take the 3 that I had.

My guess is you had a butler creek 30rd'r. Those things are crap. The factory ruger 30rd and the black dogs have never given me an issue.

How the hell would that work? Most people don't have belt fed guns. And it's duct tape.

He shot 150 rounds in 5 minutes out of 30rd mags that were filled to capacity. What they don't mention is he didn't fire the full 30rds from almost any of those magazines. He made multiple mag changes during his attack and many of the mags were left with multiple rounds left in them.

With that logic, a 10/15rd mag would have been just as effective at firing that many rounds as a 100rd drum would be.

Also why are you so scared of a dumb tool?

I get your point, but like any conservative in here will tell you, mass shooting and shootings with high capacity magazines are a tiny fraction of the gun violence that takes place. And legislating something that is so rare with legislation that will have little to no effect on the situation is a giant waste. Unless of course you point out this is the exact same situation with voter ID laws, then they're all for it. (Because saving a few lives is far less important than disenfranchising millions of voters)

Not at all. Bush couldn't speak (I truly wonder if he is dyslectic) well publically, and surely was far more direct than normal for a modern day Politician. Certainly he made mistakes. But at Bidens level of dumb? Biden actually believes what he's saying. This isn't a joke flub, or a delivery stumble. Biden is delivering what he planned to say, it's just that he is so F'ing stupid when it's delivered it's almost unbelievable.

I stand by my statements...Bushs decisions had far greater magnitude, Bidens comments far deeper level of stupidity. Obama is an amazing Spender, but, I pray to god nothing happens to him. Caribou Barbie would be a better option that Biden.

And throughout this thread and P&N in general I've seen you say far stupider things than either Bush or Biden ever said. And you seem to generally believe them too. So I guess that crown you mentioned earlier belongs to you. (I kid, I kid. Our resident Muslim hater beats even you by a mile)

You can't make that shit up. It pisses me off to no end that the people who are making up the laws are dumb asses who have no idea what they are legislating.

Degette is a waste, she is a blithering moron and i have no idea how she keeps getting reelected.

Not to rain on your parade, but Colin Ferguson (the LIRR shooter) was stopped when he went to reload his weapons.

And? Colin Ferguson was doing his mass murder spree in close quarters already on a subway train. If I'm in a crowded area like a subway train car, park, or somewhere that I'm asses to elbows with other people; and someone standing next to me pulls out a gun to start shooting people then I'm going to react to stop him if I'm already that close and haven't been shot. If enough people standing that close think the same way as that then the shooter is going to be stopped regardless of reloading or not.

When the shooter has plenty room for wide area of engagement with a long visual range to create an open field of fire then there is going to be zero way to stop that person beyond someone with a gun shooting back at that person.

Oh and Colin Ferguson would have killed far more people had he just dropped a backpack off full of explosives to blow up the train. Nothing would have stopped that from happening so long has he didn't screw up in knowing how to make an explosion go off when and how he wanted.

The only times a mass shooter was "stopped" when reloading was when the shooter had already positioned himself very close to others when they started shooting. It's a simple matter of logistics. But if you want to put in feel good legislation banning mass shootings from occurring anywhere that allows for a long field of engagement then go for it.
