Theyd thereby be strengthening the american dollar, rather than stimulating the lipton tea bag business.

I personally didnt see much of a protest - everyone was smiling, like it was one big conservative circle jerk. I saw two of these rallies on the way home.

I'm all for their right to protest, but it just seems so....odd to me.

You honestly believe you got a tax cut? Do you really believe this? Seriously? Did you not pay attention to his campaign or the recent bills passed into law?

Obama campaigned on taxing people making over 150,000 a year, and giving a tax break to the 95% who make less than that. His new tax law actually taxes people making over 200,000 a year, and gives a bigger tax break to those who don't. His stimulus plan is 35% tax breaks for low and middle income earners.

So to answer your question, whether or not he got a tax cut depends on his income.

So check out the video of a CNN reporter. For most liberals on here, she's probably their hero as she does her damnest to portray the attenders of the "tea party" as fringe lunatics. In one video i saw of her she makes sure to stipuluate at the beginning of the video that the people don't represent all americans. If you understand anything about subtly in marketing you can appreciate how important it would be for a liberal to say something like that before breaking to them this unavoidable story.

Then there's Anderson Cooper making the statement of "you can't say much when you're tea bagging".

I watched an episode of Family Guy yesterday on hulu where Brian (the liberal talking dog) uses his damning tone talk about Foxnews' bias. The creators of Family Guy are so openly liberal and hateful, once having the entire RNC shown blown up as a joke, that they can't for the life of them see what lies they perpretrate.

It's a huge media war going on, on one hand the left accuses Fox of being biased, which openly shows all points of view, and shops like CNN/NBC etc can't show up to 1 anti Obama or anti big government protest without pretending they're doing a comedy tour.

1. CNN personalities certainly have their own biases - like on any news network. If you had tuned in for Fox News Wannabe Lou Dobbs a couple hours earlier, you probably would have found CNN "showing its conservative bias".

2. You guys have officially reached a new low if you are complaining about Liberal Bias in the Family Guy talking dog.

3. If #2 didn't do it already, the moment you claimed Fox News "openly shows all points of view", pretty much shot the credibility of this post straight out the window.

what? There was like 50 losers there and they act like the whole frigen nation was backing them. Pretty stupid and if I heard that guy blabbing on about Lincoln I too would have cut him off ... he had no point. And who the hell brings a baby to a protest? If it was any type of protest there would have been 50 thousand cops and tear gas.

I didn't hear these freaks bother to come out when bush spent 8-10 trillion... I guess Obama forgot to tell them that it was just an IOU! What a bunch of idiots.

Next contestant.

This forum is full of liberals who love to argue partisan topics. Just answer this one question - WHERE IS THIS THE MONEY COMING FROM? And you can't use the "taxes on the rich" line because the rich are not that rich...

Do you think one day you'll get so angry and feel like such an oppressed middle class white man you'll lose it and harm yourself in some way?

The money is coming from govt bonds purchased by investors at all-time record low interest rates (edit: for economically braindead, read less than 1/100th of the aforementioned 300%).

And knock off the idiot partisan baiting. Seriously. The only people who ever argue that any forum is "full of <insert supposed opposing ideology here> who love who argue partisan topics" are hardcore partisans who do nothing but argue partisan topics, usually validating their arguments on the basis of nothing but pure partisanship.

There is a lack of investors the last few treasury auctions and the FED started to buy the long end of treasuries. The Federal Reserve is becoming one of the main investors to buy issued treasuries from the U.S. treasury, this is all in vain to keep the house of cards from collapsing.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/...eP8.XnGrN64&refer=home

I suggest you do a little more research Vic before jumping to conclusions. We are playing musical chairs with the economy. Foreign demand for treasuries is not climbing its been on the decline as of late and is continuing that descent.

The commentators are blatantly biased, completely uneducated on the topics they're discussing, and clearly left on the air far too long without new relevant information to discuss. The shows would have been better with fewer talking heads and more screen time allowing people from the street on both sides to talk. At least there would be some more creative content.
Yeah, this is why I don't watch much TV news. Really, it's more like entertainment, not news.

I got a tax cut. Whether I continue to have a tax cut is another matter, but I am now currently paying $10 less less federal income tax per week than I was before. Its not an opinion, it's math.

I can't believe you just used a cartoon as evidence of media bias. Or that you termed a talking dog a liberal with a "damning tone".

You may want to step away from the boob tube for a little while and talk to someone about the whole persecution complex - it's funny, but not ha-ha funny, know what I mean?

Edit: I needed to quote what you wrote for posterity.

Looks like a self-proclaimed "conservative" and "defender of the constitution" doesn't like the fact that a FOX TV show might have a *gasp* liberal bias - how this free expression somehow constitutes a "media bias" is beyond any rational person's thinking.

The money is coming from the same place Mr Bush was spending money from.

Who the fsck cares? He came off like a typical incoherent Sean Hannity caller. "You're a great American, Sean. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."

The reporter didn't hear a Daily Show talking point so she cut him off, and you're here bashing him because he sounds like he's just spewing a talking point. Your type of dishonesty is what is turning this country into a shithole because you actively seek to trap others in your own stupidity.

Fact is, 99.9% of the morons at these tea parties have not had their taxes raised, instead they'll be benefiting from a tax break under Obama. Like I said, they have no f'ing clue why they're so pissed off other than the fact that Fox News told them to be.

Then you are 99.9% incapable of thinking for yourself. Unlike your typical liberal who can't see ahead for more than 2 hours, conservatives see a dark cloud coming as Congress and Obama are spending our children's children's money in taxes. Taxes WILL go up. If you had a reliable news agency you would easily know what they are protesting, but instead of you limit yourself to only batshit crazy liberals who wouldn't tell the truth if their life depended on it.

Wall Street blew it for the US, not congress. 2 Trillion is to them. Why aren't you protesting them? They walked away with billions in bonuses while destroying the world economy.

The debt doubled in the last 8 years... where was the protesting then?

Spending is actually going to average americans now and they protest? Makes no sense and therefore you can't expect them to be taken seriously.

Ok, so if the only argument you guys can make is that people didn't care under Bush.. then Obama gets a free pass.. I guess then in 4 years if a Republican wins he can take the deficit to 30 trillion or 40 trillion and thats fine because the democrats didn't complain about Obama?

How does this argument make any sense? Oh, thats right.. Obama's giveaways are stimulus and good spending and Bush's spending was bad evil spending.

Congress blew it by not regulating markets that caused this entire mess. Congress also blew it by issuing bailout money to big business to keep them from failing from the mistakes they made. I think it is funny when the left cant figure out that of the 1.4 trillion in stimulus we have enacted in the past 8 months the majority of it is going to big business and wall street. They still hold onto this idea it is magically ending up in the pockets of middle america.

Possessive is correctly expressed via "its".

This isn't directed just at the OP, but as a general PSA.

They're WITHHOLDING less. Your taxes didn't change. The tax tables didn't change. You did not get a tax cut. This is why everybody should hold onto their tax returns for 2008 and then compare them to 2009 and let your eyes be opened.

I don't think anyone was protesting having to pay taxes. They are protesting the government spending a shitload of tax dollars for the stimulus and the projected Obama budget. Money that is not or will not be in the U.S. Treasury anytime soon.

I write a $400 check to the city I live in every year. It sucks, but if my house were to catch on fire I could call 911 and the fire department would be there within minutes. Now if that fire department were to buy the chief a $90,000 Porsche to get to a fire scene... that would be an irresponsible use of taxpayer money. People in the city who gladly pay that $400 month would probably protest, as they should.

dipshits like you cannot see beyond Friday regarding your finances. So you have no concept of what shape the government is going to be in unless this shit is finally reigned in.
