OK - whatever it is, it looks pretty staged to me but I also freely admit I do not "realize what's actually going on in that video".

However, I am curious and would like to know what IS actually going on in the video.

I am among those who is "curious" and I am admittedly not sure what I am actually seeing in the video.

I am seeing CNN reporters (?) "arranging" these protestors for a report, I can see this being a common thing and of course it doesn't mean the protest "is staged". However, I could understand someone seeing or interpreting it as being "staged", and indeed I don't actually know from the video of the event, whether the protest itself is "staged", whether the protestors are "genuine". (Common sense says it isn't because CNN would be pretty stupid, besides the idiotic idea of a "staged protest" of course...)

The truth of it is mixed but largely benign. What's interesting is when you read youtube or twitter comments from conservatives. They ALL believe it is totally fake news from CNN. There is no apparent interest in whether CNN has anything to say about it. Not more than one or two people considered that there might be another side to it, out of 100's of comments I read.

Looks to me like they were "staging" the group for an ideal shoot. Pretty common occurrence when time is available for prepping a setup.

Protesters were probably real but rounded up and grouped for a more effective interview from a reporter's/cameraman's POV.

That's my take on whatever experience I have as a part time event photog/videographer.

Essentially that's it. The only thing staged is the location of the people being filmed. If the film crew hadn't been there, they would have been doing the same thing a block away.
 
This was another bit of alt-right propaganda pushed to the gullible, like the video harvested from Rich's parents youtube channel and used to tell the lie they were thankful for the alt-right degenerate's 'investigation' into their son's killing.

Read some more on this and it was being pushed around by that Cernovich whackjob and Infowars. These rubes keep coming back for more conspiracy theories. You'd think they'd have learned from the pizza parlour madness, nope, they've lapped up plenty of shit from the conspiracy bowl since then as well. They'll show up for more going forward too.

Proving a negative is NOT logical. And its a piss poor argument for the opposing side to use.
 
Looks dubious, but not seeing a real big issue with this video. I think its fairly common practice from what I have read in the past.

CNN's Anderson Cooper getting sued right now for "purposely reporting a false story" on the other hand.
 
It's like when there is a flood and the water is knee deep, but the News person sits in a canoe for effect ....

It's shady bullshit, but it's not completely fabricated ...
