Corbett ...I didnt ask you for an attempt an analogy and i didnt ask you to answer a question with a question. No one is trying to corner you into anything and i most certainly wont fault you for your beliefs.

I simply wanted to know if you thought Sarah Palin (on her own merit without comparison to others) is ready to be President of the United States.

The answer could be yes ... Because ... or No Because or Maybe .. because or Not at the present time .. because or I refuse to answer.

The fact that i went to bed ... came back and you still cant issue an honest answer speaks volumes about your conviction and character. Ill leave you and this thread alone and return to simply observing without comment.

Again ... sincerely ... good luck to your candidate.

Cheers

Again, I answered your quesiton, you didn't like the answer. Feel free to answer mine though, otherwise, "it speaks volumes about your character and conviction."
You have no character and your convictions are just a matter of record with the local authorities

Just one of the 46,000 in-depth posts from Red Dawn. Keep it up!
Thanks. BTW your answers in this thread seems like you've been channeling Palin herself during her interview with Couric.

How so? I said Palin woulnd't be my pick for President, however, given the situation I am in this November as far as the choices I can make, I'll choose the lesser of the evils.

I'd rather have an inexperienced Vice President, than an inexperienced President.

The National Review has been critical of Palin, with one columnist calling for her removal from the ticket. So while the CNN's question may have been unnecessarily harsh because he skewed this quote, the main point of his question still stands.

How dare you bring up the facts!! :|

;)

By picking Palin, McCain essentially told everyone with a libertarian bent not to vote for him.

While the pick itself underscores the largest division in the Republican party, i.e. between the libertarian economic conservatives and social conservative religious right.
With a McCain/Palin ticket, the libertarian crowd has been firmly shut out of the GOP.

Yeah that old McCain has plenty of experience as President..wait a second, he has as much experience as Obama, and Obama's more intelligent, has a temperament more suitable for a leader and is definitely a faster study given the performances of the two during the debates. Advantage Obama

If we wanted an experienced President, I suppose we could have re-elected GHW Bush. He's the only surviving President still legally eligible to serve another term.

Maybe McCain could run for another term as a POW. At least, he has experience in that field. :p

I think he'd prefer the post of cruising bars looking for rich heiresses to have adulteress affairs with though I think his effectiveness would pale in comparison to Bill Clintons;)

Woosh, right over your head. Of course McCain doesnt have experience being President, but he DOES have 30 years more experience reaching across party lines, making choices that aren't politically advantageous and so on. Obama has ZERO experience in any of the things he promises.

I think Palin is just as ready to be president as Obama is, if not, more.

It's one thing for a person to be loyal and spout partisan drivel, but hopefully you don't really believe this. It would truly be the result of poisoned repug koolaid.

Feel free to post what makes Obama ready to be president.
Red Dawn, in a previous post, illustrated a lot of why I think obama should be elected president. Another quality that I would add is that he does not have the experience that mccain has and therefore won't be saddled with the wrong choices and blown opportunities.

One of your oft repeated, lame attacks about post counts tells me not to take you very seriously. Your railing against obama just reaffirms my conviction. If you and the rest of your com padres admitted that palin support is really repug support instead of suggesting that there is any substance behind palin's wardrobe, you might not get discounted so easily.

WILLIAMS: What ? first of all, what in your mind is a precondition?
Every time I see a question like this, I think of bill gates' anti-trust testimony in the 90s debating the meaning of the word 'is'.

Not that it's wrong. With palin, everything needs to be questioned to establish a basis - something that seems to be uncomfortable for her and quite tedious for the interviewer.

Good lord, I can't believe you didn't preface that with "my friends." I mean, it had McCain's other talking points in there.

I love how McCain "reaches across party lines," yet every interview I see has him bashing Democrats for tax policies, foreign policies, Social Security policies, economic policies, etc. I guess he's "a uniter, not a divider?"
