For any of you who vape and feel a bit demonized, here's another thing you might want to add to the list:

DOT bans e-cigarettes in checked luggage

Under a new federal rule announced Monday (Oct 26) by the Department of Transportation, airline passengers and crewmembers will no longer be able to pack battery-powered portable electronic smoking devices such as e-cigarettes, e-cigars, e-pipes, personal vaporizers and any sort of electronic nicotine delivery system, in checked luggage.

Under the new rule, passengers may continue to put e-cigarettes in their carry-on bags (or in their pockets), but they cannot use the e-cigs or charge them during a flight.

According to the Associated Press, the ruling banning e-cigarettes from checked luggage should go into effect within two weeks Date of article was 10/27/15.)

Also... Stop fucking "vaping" in public... I could give a fuck less if you want to strangle your heart with nicotine..

but your fruity-ass sickeningly synthetic chemical smells you mix together are fucking disgusting.
That's actually what I hate more than anything. Always smells like a bad gas-station air freshener.

I recently went to a movie, and had people sitting behind me for about a half hour before some asshole behind me start bitching making off hand comments about it later.

I flat out turned around and asked him wtf didn't he say anything before the movie had even started, then later some guy came in and sat next to us with about 5 gallons of Axe body spray on.

At that point I got up and left, the damned body spray was ever powering my vapor that I had stopped using.

I think I even flipped several people off calling them a bunch of pussies in the row behind me once I stood up on the way out.

They pretty much looked nervous and didn't say a word at that point I guess.

The wife stayed munching her popcorn and watched the rest of it, I guess.

I don't go to movies much these days :p

If you're going to be a nicotine addict, vaping is going to be less harmful for your health so long as you know all the ingredients in the liquid you're using. No sense trying to claim it is perfectly health neutral though. Better you inhale nothing.

So you'd rather have vapors smoke cigarettes instead? Because that's the simple reality of things.

I have tried quitting both, I went back to smoking, so I'm keeping with vaping. I'm going to do one of the two for now. Many people are in the same boat. Go read that Yale study I linked, it's concerning underage use (people who weren't smokers for years and the same holds true).

You're not presenting a solution to that problem by saying vaping isn't safe. You're just supporting limiting access to what's clearly a safer alternative.

It's not really one or the other though. Personally, I'd rather see people quit both. As of right now, there is a lot of information not out there. I guess I'm tired of the whole argument of 'dude, it's just vapor!' One of the things of major concerns besides the unknowns is the reliability of the source of liquid.

Got it, you live in a fantasy land where people don't drink/smoke/do drugs/other dangerous activity.

Maybe if we just ban these things they will go away? Let's do this.

Can you quote anyone in this thread who says "dude, it's just vapor" or similar stupid shit, or are you just pissing in the wind?

BTW, your "guy with the neck tattoo" comment is just as stupid as "it's just vapor". Maybe if you stop talking to stupid people you won't inherit their logic.

Who here is claiming that? Quote them.

Its been years since I've been to the theater. Is vaping in theaters common place now? No way I would tolerate clouds of vape floating up in my sightline during a film.

no and I have not seen anybody vape in a theater, and i would not be happy either if some dude with a mod blows a Mt. St. Helens size cloud up ruining my movie night out. .

Yea, valid point, it would be rude to vape with the current setup's around in a theater.

I was blowing it at my feet actually, there where not clouds going anywhere.

But it's irrelevant.

Yea, we didn't know that and I wasn't calling you out in general at all. What I was implying is there are some serious rigs around nowadays that could be an issue in a theater. Some folks of the "watch this blast!" mentality might think it's LOL to fuck up someone else's movie viewing.
