I purchased a Nexus 5 in May 2014 and immediately put CM11 on it and loved it. CM11 is based on Android 4.4.4. It's clean, professional looking - very intuitive. It's all business and that's what I love about it.
Well, after two years I decided to replace the Nexus 5 as the Nexus 6 was selling for $299. So I purchased one, received last night and immediately put CM13 on it, which is based on Android 6.0.
Holy crap does it suck.
For starters, the UI took a major jump back as far as professionalism goes - either using CM13 or straight Android 6 - it looks like shareware from days gone past. It looks horrible. I use my phone for work, it's not a toy. I guess Google and CM don't get that.
The Nexus 6 itself is a fantastic device, but I'm wishing I can go back to at least CM12... I know CM11 is not available for my device - shame.
