One of my best friends was born in the US, but since his father is a natural born German citizen, he also has a German passport.

Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship. which raises another question.....

How far will you reach to try to find a story that sticks? ;)

im not reaching im just asking a question. in his own book he says he goes to Pakistan but at that time US Citizens were banned to travel to Pakistan.

That doesn't prove he had an Indonesian passport, countries can make special travel exemptions or there could be a ton of other explanations. That travel all by itself is not even suggestive of wrongdoing, and there is NO proof regarding the "Indonesian passport" story.

ok then what about going to school in Indonesia when the government would not allow non citizens in the class room?

Can you please tell us why it matters?

Listen.. if America wants to run the whole fucking world.. wouldn't a little multi-culturalism help us stop being murderers like we are in Iraq? Unprovoked war with at least 50,000 DEAD and people rounded up and tortured by our own hands... <<something to be proud of?

If you want to talk about Messiahs then I suggest you direct yourself towards the evangelicals in your own party because you will not find any Messiahs here.

So do you have anything worthwhile to say or are you just trolling yet again (no need to actually respond, the answer is obvious).

What about it? You are asserting that Obama is not a US citizen, and nothing you've said is evidence of your claim. Even if his father claimed Obama had Indonesian citizenship to get him into the classroom, Obama was a minor at the time, and minors CAN'T give up their US citizenship until they are 18 (and if the other country doesn't allow dual citizenship). But you don't even have any proof that Obama was an Indonesian citizen at the time...

What is illegal and what happen are two different things. How do you know anybody knew he wasn't a citizen, or really cared.

Apparently, according to the Obama campaign, In 1981 -- the year Obama transferred from Occidental College to Columbia University -- Obama visited his mother and sister Maya in Indonesia. After that visit, Obama traveled to Pakistan with a friend from college whose family was from there. The Obama campaign says Obama was in Pakistan for about three weeks, staying with his friend's family in Karachi and also visiting Hyderabad in Southern India.
I will say this, 1981 was certainly an interesting time to "visit" Pakistan... but, it's still a non-issue to me.

Show me undeniable proof that Obama was not a U.S. citizen, or that his actions in Pakistan were more than they appear, and I will consider it a serious issue. Until then, you're simply reaching...

I see. I know a lot of Israelis that go to India on backpack trips. I find it odd that people would go to tense places like that.

I know India is not as bad as Pakistan but some places there have Maoist insurgencies.

Fear??? I'm just sick and tired of people trying to "bring Obama down" when we all know he's the 2nd coming. Lets admit it. He's going to be our next president. Get over it!!! Lets move on.

If Jesus was running for office, you wouldn't expect to people "confront" him with all these trivialities? People.. listen, for the first time in the history of mankind, we are going to have a deity for a president -- isn't this good enough?

I find a great many claims in your posts in this thread incredible. It would be more convincing with some supporting evidence.

Are you certain that Indonesia had an effective method for policing dual-citizenship, or is it merely policy on the books?

Was this law which disallows non-citizens from Indonesian school in effect at the time?

I recall, for example, your simultaneously dogmatic adherence to, and miserable failure at defending preposterous anti-evolutionary claims, so quite honestly if you were to tell me the sky were blue, I'd still have to wait for the clouds to clear before I believed you.

The obvious answer to the OP is that Obama's stepfather acquired Indonesian citizenship for Obama illegally (according to Indonesia's laws, not US laws). This did not affect his natural-born American citizenship, so it's a non-issue. He may have later used his step-father's fraud to enter Pakistan in his college years. Another non-issue.

Just to be fair, if it is determined that he was not a U.S. citizen at any point in time, it would certainly be a serious issue -- thanks to a little "piece of paper" called the Constitution of the United States of America. My own chosen candidate, Obama, would have to withdraw from the race. Unlike you, I'm not willing to shred that paper out of sheer lust for "change."

That said, at this point, it's a non-issue.

People don't seem to understand that Indonesian citizenship would mean absolutely nothing as to his US citizenship. So what if Indonesia didn't allow dual citizenship? The US doesn't care. In order for him to have lost his US citizenship he would have to renounce it, join the military of a foreign power, etc. He did none of those things.

When are these ridiculous threads going to stop? Right wingers, I'm serious, at this point you're just embarrassing yourselves.

Hypothetical situation:

Obama: There is water in wine (a completely true statement, wine is 80% water).
Wingnut media: Obama said he can turn water into wine!
Wingnuts: /rushes to post on every conceivable internet medium
Sane people: Uhh... that's not what he said.
Wingnuts: Obamessiah! Obamessiah! Libuhral media! Libuhral sheep!
Sane people:

2 weeks later -
Wingnuts: Obama said he can turn water into wine!
Sane people: /facepalm

Obama was also considered a citizen of the British Colonies under the British Nationality Act of 1948, by virtue of his father being a British subject. My earlier point was that he wouldn't necessarily have had to rely on his U.S. citizenship to gain entry into Pakistan. Saying that Obama had to be an Indonesian citizen is a presumptuous stretch, especially without facts by Citrix to back it up.

LOL, like that's exclusive to righties?? I remember a Palin thread where the OP was speculating that her downs baby was realy her daughter's baby and they were covering her pregnancy up.

At least this issue has a tooth. If Obama does have dual citizenship that fact should be out there for everybody to know. I seriously doubt he does, but stranger things have happened??
