Climate Scientist: US Owes World 40 Trillion Dollars for Trashing Climate

The world owes the U.S. 1 quadrillion dollars for eradicating the world of some of it's most deadly diseases and the technological innovations that have allowed 7 billion people to live. I factored in the interest. Make your checks payable to "Your Daddy."

If you want to bitterly cling to your first world privilege and deny your climate debt, it doesn't matter to me.

You're welcome to answer your own questions.

Go ahead. You know you want too...

So, not smart enough to answer? Even you should be capable of stringing together a sentence.

Pretty sure when we send out those bills for being the worlds policeman for the past 70 years we'll be all squared up.

Maybe you could just dip your toilet brush in lye and shove it up your ass to insure a constant state of feeling your getting burned by something. You poor fucking CBDs must have nerves that grow out of your wallets directly to the pain centers of your brains. Must be great to live in a permanent state of infantile need. Man up, you poor pathetic weaklings or somebody will throw sand in your faces. We owe 40 trillion, "Oh my fucking god, let me collapse and die in the corner. Let me give you my blood."
No blood necessary, just please let us know when you start paying for your 'fair share' of the climate debt....it comes to about $125,000 for you AND each member of your household. Will this money actually do anything to significantly mitigate climate change? No...but I'll bet you'll feel pretty damn good for doing the "right thing".

I always find it odd that so many try to argue that proposed government action implies that it is real/decided/confirmed.

Many many many have argued that the global warming we have experienced is a boon. The science proving that global warming is bad IS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY NONEXISTENT. I have brought this point up dozens of times and get nothing but crickets in response. Why are the warmists trying to actively stop a GOOD trend? I only weep that I won't be alive a century from now when everybody is laughing their asses off at the clowns who propagated this end of the earth horseshit under the guise of science. It is complete embarassment that wild speculation without any verification or falsification for decades is passed of as settled science. These people are a complete and utter disgrace to real science.

No, we don't.

Exactly, and we will never pay one dime of it, which is why anybody who had to jack himself up to post this crap has to be a lunatic looking for an excuse to engage in self-flagellator stimulation and faux rage. The CBD in action seeking a climax. Stroke it baby.

Eh...I'd actually support the ol' proposition, supposing the money went towards establishing green power production thingymawhoozits.

So climate change is really about wealth transfer from the first world to the third world.

The science is settled. All the political scientists agree.

You need to open your wallet and let the politicians redistribute your wealth...

Time to check that first world privilege and open your wallet!

Oh, also check that Canadian Privilege. At least until you pay your $400 billion climate debt ...

Ah, the climate change industry, that vaunted progressive creation aiming to transfer money from poor people in rich nations to rich people in poor nations in the name of social justice.

Just because some corporation pollutes in some other country, that does not mean the American government is responsible. So if a British oil company spread oil all over in the Gulf of Mexico, does that mean people in England Owe US people money?

Just trying to understand the logic here.

Before the USA even existed the Brits were spreading their poison all over the world.

I was considering responding to this with my usual links but then I saw your post in the other thread and realized there's no reason too.

:awe:

....You should know by now that I spout shit off all the time about things I know nothing about. I am far far far from being the most informed poster on this forum. For me, it is much easier to bloviate than research.

Does the world accept a personal check?

I may have to post-date it though.

WAH! I'm not allowed to pollute without consequences,.. WAH!!

This has nothing to do with being shaken down by those filthy 3rd worlders - this is being insulted for having to pay the piper.

You expect a pound of flesh from other people - well, don't Herp-A-Derp when your ticket is up.

You go ahead and send them a check, they're going to have to work at it to get mine.

Well the chart only goes through 1990 so it probably ignores little things like this:
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/world-environment-day-10-most-polluted-cities-world-1504260

Aside from being really busy and not having the time to read the chart, having now done so only fuels my speculation that this is typical BS. China and India didn't really explode on the pollution front until after that data was collected. A lot has happened in the past 25 years.

And yes, it's pure BS to imply that no world benefit came from US industrialization / technology.

It's going to take several more decades of wealth and prosperity in the United States and other advanced, CO2 emitting, nations before we're able to properly develop a paradigm shift away from Human = CO2 emission. Starting World War 3, as the "scientist" suggests, would immediately stop all forward progress and send most the planet back into the stone age, for those few who survive.

Scientific progress would be set back centuries, if not a millennium.
If he honestly thinks that is a solution...

Defund the UN . Charge New York prices on all the office space , parking also . Resign as well from the UN Or , do nothing . That served me well as a manager for many , many years . Have that great statesman Hillary Clinton explain to the UN why it takes a village to heal a planet .

Yeah but that's because you're a fucking loony.

So how come we aren't getting charged for the industrial revolution then? :sneaky:

To be serious for a moment though, I do think that a transfer of less polluting technology from the richer nations to the poorer nations and the cash to implement that technology would be a good goal.

How much money in interest does Europe and Asia owe the USA for ending world war II?

Keep in mind that the carbon cycle takes about 100 years to trap carbon once it is released. Even if all carbon emissions ended today it would take years to make a difference. However, the smog might clear up sooner. USA significantly reduced smog by just burning cleaner burning coal and reducing other kinds of emissions. Lately many countries including China are seeing the light and have been building huge Solar Panel Farms.

We have to use our wealth to develop it first.
