Classy fight at a Wal-Mart in Indiana

I'll stop a one sided fight without thinking twice. But that's a very rare thing. If someone knows enough to knock another guy out, they usually know when to stop. That type of thing is different though. I'm pulling the guy off to save him, not the other guy. I'd want someone to stop me if I lost control.

I hear ya on bystanders syndrome. I was at target once and noticed a group of people standing around. I looked on the floor and a guy was laying g there in a puddle of puke having a convulsion. Only one person was even trying to help him and the rest were...I don't know...admiring his spittle? I started yelling at people at first to make sure he was breathing, then to make sure 911 had been called, then to get them the hell away from the poor bastard. The one lady held his airway open the best she could while I made sure he didn't bang into anything or roll into his puke. It was just weird to see so many people standing there staring.

Convulsion? As in seizure? Often times, it's dangerous to mess with someone while they are having a seizure. Totally depends from person to person.

(I would know, I have epilepsy)

I do not know. I never heard anything more about it.

He was laying at an angle by the big metal racks. My main conern was making sure he was breathing and that he didn't hurt himself. He wasn't flailing, he was shaking. Does that make sense?

I asked his girlfriend who was standing there if he had ever done that before and she said no. Poor girl was scared to death. The guy couldn't have been more than 21.

I remember now why I move to FL a bit in 1990 from IN, even though FL gets busted on a lot.

I'm just in a odd mood atm in general, but that was pretty pathetic.

Not sure i would have jumped in to intervene myself, in this case I might have just walked off.

I meant the fight, not convulsions.

Different category.

Aren't there good samaritan laws in some states to prevent someone from legal issues in the act of rendering aid? Then again those bystanders are Walmart shoppers, their legal knowledge probably consists entirely of Judge Judy Duty.

Sounds like most of the people, especially for the first 2 minutes or so, were men. You go and try to break it up and one of them punches you in the nose and you defend yourself you are now involved in the altercation. Especially being a man, the chances of you taking a ride to jail are pretty good. Not worth the risk to me.

Besides, the last 1.5 minutes or so looked like the one fat bitch was just laying on top of the other fat bitch (the one with pink on) trying to catch her breath after catching a decent blow to the face. When she finally got up she didn't want nothing more to do with the fight.

The poor kid is fucked, as much as it saddens me I'll be surprised if he makes it past 14 before seeing the inside of a jail cell.

That pretty much sums up the people of Walmart. Although entertaining, a Walmart visit is off limits. I'd rather think of humanity in higher respect.

Clean up on aisle 6...

I do hope that our first contact with extraterrestrials isn't at a Walmart at 3AM.

You know how some people will pit lower animals, like chickens or dogs, against each other for entertainment? Some aliens might have similar taste.

Can you point to where I said you would have stepped in if you had been there? I was simply adding to the discussion in the form of a general question. No need to get all defensive about it.

Take it to Walmart if you two want to fight about it. There is no place for that on these forums.

Rendering aid != breaking up a fight.

Touch either one of those human shitbags or even worse, the kid, and you're hosed. Stay the hell out of it and if possible, shoot some video to help the police sort things out. Anything else is too much risk for absolutely zero reward.

Know, I just have to say, this is why the US of A is now a shit hole waiting to cave in on itself.

How about this: a group of people watched a man stomp his baby to death because they didn't think he would really do it. Nobody did a fucking thing. This happens quite often.

NICE. DPS might get involved and take the child away from her.

I don't think either of them had much in terms of DPS. >_>

A fat, lazy, piece of shit for using a handicap cart because she might actually lose 30-50 calories by walking and pushing a cart. Meanwhile someone who is genuinely disabled is denied usage of this aid so a disgusting waste of meat won't have to walk, at least she got her ass beat LOL.

The good news is after her case worker sees the video she won't be free loading off SSI any more.
