sad part is the mom was telling the kid to get involved. WTF he could have gotten hurt. what the fuck.

Even sadder, I suspect she was doing it so the other lady would purposely hit the kid back in defense so the mother could have the other lady charged with assault on a child. Clever but disgusting.

Wow, I'm not going to announce to the internet that I'd be some kind of hero, but I hope that I'd do better than some in here.

Two people that are much smaller/less powerful than you are in a fight where one of them could easily get hurt. You:

1. Break it up.
2. Get Wal-Mart Security.
3. Pull out your phone, dial 9-11. Tell the two women that the police are on their way, and they could both be arrested if they don't break it off and leave immediately
4. Pull out your phone and record it like a bumfight for internet lols.

Show me a lawsuit where someone was sued for breaking up a fight. I've got to imagine it's pretty rare.

Rendering aid != breaking up a fight.

Touch either one of those human shitbags or even worse, the kid, and you're hosed. Stay the hell out of it and if possible, shoot some video to help the police sort things out. Anything else is too much risk for absolutely zero reward.

Or, what or who are you trying to help?

I was kind of hoping a whole shelf would fall on them.

Also, CRIPPLE FIGHT!!!

Or I guess simply fatass fight

BWAHAHAHA you have the one that is a mom with her kid right there, telling her kid "Punch her in the face!" when they were in a grapple. Oh god man, as much as I'll never step foot in a Walmart for these types of people, I definitely would pay money to see ignorant fools like this make an idiot of themselves in public.

If 2 people want to fight, let them. People called the cops, Walmart employees aren't going to jump in, what else can you do? Oh right..be some kind of vigilante super hero and break them up!

That kid was a little piece of shit. I have to agree, with the kid there and everything, how do you break it up? I wouldn't dare touch the kid of these trashy women, but seeing what a little shit that kid is he might attack you as well.

Who called the cops? I only heard someone wonder where security was.

Yeah, I guess there is non-zero risk that something bad could happen to you if you pulled these two incredibly un-athletic women off each other, or even just got between them before they started throwing haymakers. So never do anything where something bad could happen, and just make a video and laugh.

It's not my job to right the wrongs of the world.

The main reason I refuse to break up fights is people get all hard core once you hold them back. Dude could have been on the ground getting his face caved in but as soon as someone grabs him he starts trying to punch or kick the other guy and starts talking trash. I'm not cool with that.

Let them go. Most of the time they just get tired and give up. It's fun to watch 2 people so wore out they can't stand up talking trash. "I'm gonna beat yo ass!"....as soon as grab a snickers and a gatorade

What if he starts punching you in the balls while you're trying to break-up his mom?

Just saying, have fun laying your hands on a child and thinking your safe from a lawsuit that depletes you of all your money :colbert:

If the kid was hardcore he should of gone and found some pepper spray, or even use hairspray.

I generally won't get into fights, but if it becomes an issue of a real threat (one guy pummeling another or something similarly dangerous) I'll move to break it up. I will also take the initiative to single people out and give them commands to do things like call the cops and to help. Simply stating "someone call the cops" will only have people doing nothing. Pointing to that guy filming and saying "You! Call 911" establishes him with the responsibility everyone can acknowledge.

Most people suffer from bystander syndrome anyway.

I'll stop a one sided fight without thinking twice. But that's a very rare thing. If someone knows enough to knock another guy out, they usually know when to stop. That type of thing is different though. I'm pulling the guy off to save him, not the other guy. I'd want someone to stop me if I lost control.

I hear ya on bystanders syndrome. I was at target once and noticed a group of people standing around. I looked on the floor and a guy was laying g there in a puddle of puke having a convulsion. Only one person was even trying to help him and the rest were...I don't know...admiring his spittle? I started yelling at people at first to make sure he was breathing, then to make sure 911 had been called, then to get them the hell away from the poor bastard. The one lady held his airway open the best she could while I made sure he didn't bang into anything or roll into his puke. It was just weird to see so many people standing there staring.

Yeah, she was pretty feisty for someone using those carts. I dont think the mother expected her to stand up. lol
Tons of people use those things and don't really need them. Ugh. They need someone to break both their legs. Hell, at least then they'd have a reason to ride one.

That is not the first time that kid has seen his mom in a fight :(
