^So the fvk what. Everyone knows they controlled every minute detail. Scripted it all, etc. Screwed TESLA over. About the only thing left to chance was the powerlap times. Unless you're talking rigged Ferraris. It was still the most entertaining show I can think of. With the highest production value of its kind.

So what? I don't know, it actually killed their point? Habitually lying and distorting facts to make a point kinda makes your point, well pointless. Plus they acted like victims all the time when they often deserved it. Like when they tried to stop the Stig's book. I never got why they were constantly injecting stupid racist jokes (that and their generally downright moronic political garbage detracted from the show).

Oh and there were definitely more than Ferrari ringers on the show.

God the world got wussified. Not to long ago, men clocked each other if they deserved it, people were shown who's boss, there was some grunting and posturing involved, and then they went on with their lives. Now "men" with overly high voices get into slap flights, rush to the emergency room, then tell their mommies. John Wayne would be ashamed.

tumblr_inline_nlqd23IOqB1qietwz.gif

Um, that's kinda the point. Jeremy just went ape$#!^ on the guy. His reaction was absolutely not warranted.

Ah yes, the wanna-be alpha male d-bag posturing. That really solves problems. Oh wait, no it typically is the source of problems.

I'll ignore the rest of your post since it's pure nonsense, but I'll never understand how people can make such stupid arguments when the person they're defending outright admits they were completely in the wrong. Not only that, but Clarkson is pretty much exactly the type of petulant man-child you describe, so it's extra amusing seeing you try to defend him like that. In fact what you seem to be wanting is for someone to have clocked Clarkson after he started the situation.

Its getting hard to find supporters for JC in Europe apparently. NetFlix, or heck Amazon should get into this.

Are you talking about 'mainland' Europe (excluding the UK) or Europe as a whole? Because I would think 1M supporters who signed a petition and then delivered it via tank to the BBC would show some solidarity there....just sayin' :)

From the sounds of it, good riddance. I hope he never works in TV again.

I'm a professional trader...

Well then you should know...unless you've always done electronic.

But, obviously that being besides the point, it's an irrelevant example as this isn't that industry.

Back OT...though it was reported that ITV wanted to bring them over, they, as well as Sky and Channel 4 have said nope.

Wow, do you have pictures of the incident since you seem to have been there and know Clarkson personally?

So topgear.com has removed the images of all three presenters, leaving just an image of The Stig. So it looks like Hammond and May are probably sticking with Jeremy.

So topgear.com has removed the images of all three presenters, leaving just an image of The Stig. So it looks like Hammond and May are probably sticking with Jeremy.

All three presenters are currently presenting the "live shows", at various locations, such as the UK.

BUT all top gear branding, has been removed.

Jeremy Clarkson to appear on rebranded Top Gear live shows

Jeremy Clarkson is to appear again on stage with Richard Hammond and James May, with whom he presented the BBC's Top Gear.
A deal has been done to fulfil a series of live shows that were planned before the presenter was dropped from the show for hitting a producer.
The gigs will be stripped of all BBC branding and content and will be called Clarkson, Hammond and May Live.
The first live show will take place in Belfast on 22 May.
BBC Worldwide said it had agreed the tour could continue "so as to not disappoint fans".
A spokesman called it "a sensible approach in the circumstances".
Thousands of people around the world had already bought tickets.
A spokesman for Brand Events, who are co-producing the shows, said they wanted to thank "ticket holders for their continued patience".
"The fans are the most important people to Jeremy, Richard and James so we're delighted to be able to say 'we're still coming'. We're sure it'll be something you won't want to miss."
The shows will take place in venues around the world including Australia, Norway, South Africa and the UK.
Live shows that were due to take place in Stavanger, Norway earlier this month have been re-scheduled to 20 and 21 June.
A Top Gear Festival planned for Sydney in April will instead become an indoor arena show staged in both Melbourne on 18-19 July and Sydney on 25 -26 July.
The live show dates are:
22 - 24 May - Belfast
5 - 7 June - Sheffield
13 - 14 June - South Africa
20-21 June - Norway
28 - 29 November - London O2
Clarkson was dropped by the BBC earlier this month following a "fracas" with a Top Gear producer.
There is no news yet as to whether fellow presenters James May and Richard Hammond will return to the show.
But executive producer Andy Wilman this morning denied he was quitting the hit show.
Kim Shillinglaw, controller of BBC Two and BBC Four has been asked to look into how to take the show forward without Clarkson and to work out how they can broadcast the last programmes in the current series.

I want them to do a top gear episode with only the Stig.

You can start with the Stig standing with his arms folded on the set surrounded by the audience....then silence for 5 mins as he stands there doing nothing.

And then the crowd goads him to try to get him to talk.

Then the Stig walks to a new Aston Martin and points to the video screen and you see him do a lap in it. He slaps the time on the power lap time board. He likes the car and demonstrates it by standing on its hood.

The Stig then walks to a new Mercedes Benz. He points to the video screen and you see him do a lap in it. He slaps the time on the power lap time board. He hates the car and demonstrates it by taking a bat and beating the crap out of the car.

He then stands there bored.

He decides to go out into the parking lot and finds one of the audience member's car. He demands the keys, and then makes the audience member get in while he gets into the driver's seat. He drives them around the track at full speed.

He does this for a few other audience members. If he likes the car he'll keep the keys. If he doesn't, he'll chuck them into the field.

End of show.

Jeremy, Richard, and James will do another show. The only thing BBC decided on was to not profit in it. Costs a lot to have principles these days ;)

This is getting a bit ridiculous. Once the bean counters figure out the loss, I predict a change of face. How can they not be concerned about profits?

The smart thing would have been to order him to do 3 months of Anger Management and sign a contract of no contact with the Producer. The Producer did not want to press charges according to Press reports. Perhaps he might want Jeremy to get some help for his anger?

there is no way in hell clarkson will appear on top gear again. to be given so many public last chances is pathetic enough, but now that he's fired you think they'll take him back? such a scenario could only result in the immediate and justified termination of the bbc upper management. they already look foolish enough for the sake of income, but to put the inmates back in charge of the asylum... they'd never find work again.

he's a controversy now; meaning tons of publicity and, as Oscar Wylde once said, "it doesn't matter how much of a cock you are, people will still love you" or something like that.
Clarkson will most likely be scooped up by either ITV or some radio station/other TV channel that needs ratings bad. Clarkson will proceed to make the funniest show ever and everyone will be happy; except that producer who didn't get him any hot food.

I can't imagine a show where Clarkson gets even more control. IMO that'd be a nightmare

Jeremy Clarkson to host Have I Got News For You

The controversial broadcaster will appear as the guest host of Have I Got News for You on 24 April.
"Jeremy's contract has not been renewed on Top Gear but he isn't banned from appearing on the BBC," a BBC spokesman said.
Clarkson has hosted the satirical news quiz on numerous occasions.
During one appearance in 2008, he threw a pen at regular panellist Ian Hislop that left the latter with a cut on his face.

haha, what little testicles bbc has are in clarkson's pocket. what a bunch of pathetic weaklings. to quote the the great lord humungus, "what a puny plan".

5th gear should scoop up the top gear boys. Even if it's just a couple episodes. Epic battles ensue. Would pay money to see vicki vs jeremy shootout

Get rid of the guys, keep Vicki and add the Top Gear trio?

I never could get into Fifth Gear. I just don't care that much about the cars or any of the presenters.

I'd pay money to see Vicki naked. She's the only compelling reason to watch Fifth Gear at all quite frankly.

The Mirror is serving up a fresh rumour about a possible new series featuring the boys. Inside sources say the trio is in talks with both Netflix and ITV.

If Netflix picks it up, the show will reportedly be named House of Cars.

Netflix seems to be the strongest candidate for a new series, since it's ad free. Sources told the paper that the boys don't want to maintain creative freedom, and avoid potential conflicts of interest with advertisers.

Did you ever watch the episode? They didn't screw over Tesla, they attempted as part of their humor and their love for gasoline cars, to demonstrate what would happen if it ran out battery juice. Which specially in the UK at the time of the episode was a real issue. You could only realistically charge the car up at home.

Musk is so high on himself that he gets uber defensive any time that someone attempts to look at his vehicles in a negative light. Would it have mattered to the episode if they ran a 2-3 more laps to kill the roadsters batteries? No the result would be the same.
