I hate that stupid word "rice." I think that is a sh!tty way to classify someone. If the person wants to hook up there car for looks let them be, why does everyone have to have performance? I am sure not everyone cares if they have the fastest car on the planet, they just want to make it look nice. I personally like looks and performance, so because I ad a spoiler or put some decals on my car I am a ricer?!

The blue 00 Si is one of my best friends. He's got FMIS intake,Ceramic header,full stainless exhaust+muffler. He's getting ready to order a super charger and cams. NOT RICED

'01 civic is an ok car. Good build quality and tiny body panel gaps, but buzzy and underpowered.

Biggest problem with civics imo is that, well it's a civic. Everyone and their grandmother drives one and it screams &quot;I have no personality&quot;

well, unfortunately most people judge you by what kind of car you drive. I mean, if you were gonna go on a date, would you want to drive a civic or an NSX? Civics are a dime a dozen. When people drive civics around campus, no one really notices. But there is this one guy who drives an NSX on campus and you better believe it when I say everyone turns and looks. Not glances, but stares.

civic's can't smoke anybody, they are not fast and never will be fast. civics werent designed to be fast and the only reason honda made Si's is because they know they can charge more for it. its a joke to see those civics around town trying to be racers. with all the aftermarket body kits etc. it only makes your car slower and adding intakes and exhasts trying to compensate...lol its ugly, its not fast, and you waste a lot of money when you can buy yourself a nicer car... can somebody tell me the point of fixing up a civic?

i have an electron blue pearl SI...luckydragon...you have no clue what you are talking about. body kits are made from a lighter material first of all...second of all who are you to tell us we cant? it's a hobby and you cant tell us not to. Its like asking why do people make their truck 18 feet taller?? and its not fair to say rice, what about ford probes, focus, cavaliers, neons(laugh)...they are all american cars that get huge aftermarket.

true, but everyone and their grandma has a mustang also. i have personality, get to know me and youll like it (im not hitting on you lol!!) if cars show my personality, then the only person who doesnt have personality is the one who judges me wrong. i dont try to show off, but it will turn some heads...and why didnt they break into the ferrari testarosa across the street or my neighbors clk?? they skipped those and went to my civic!! arg!

shocks suck. road noise sucks. real nice easy clutch
5500 rpm is when vtec kicks in. i heard turbo kits do a lot more justice that sc does on this 6th gen (i think). antiroll bar will make you a killer in the turns. i had a 2&quot; drop but i ad to take the coils off bc of bad bad bad rubbing. back at stock height (about to put un koni red and yellow shocks, sleeves, and coil overs. sweeeeeeeet.)

Actually a '00 SI and V6 mustang are pretty close at the lights (as long as the civic launches properly).

they are not fast and never will be fast Say that to the guys who have their little front wheel cars doing 0-60 in the 3 second range. Yes it takes money, and if drag racing is your interest you'll get a better investment &quot;doing it right&quot; with some American muscle, but a stock SI is still pretty fast and a modified one can kick mucho butt.

Skoorb is right in just about everything he posted. The newer Civic Si's are weak compared to the last Si that was released in the US. I'd say the only Honda that's fast is the Prelude VTEC. It's the only Honda packing decent power in stock form and it turns in some good quarter times.

and people dont want to give credit where its due. Honda/acura fine tune their car to the max...its amazing the power output for a 4 banger. and 30 mpg (well 29 for 2k si). its hard to squeeze more out of it, hence why like a 100 dollar intake gives you what, 3hp if you are luck? 7 if its CAI...?

Yeah their gas mileage kicks ass! That is one of the key reasons why I'm likely to buy a 2001 civic over the competition. Sentra and protege are similar in price but both are a tad ugly. A VW is in the same price range but unless you get a diesel their gas mileage kind of blows - and if you get the diesel not only is it pricier but _slooooooow_.
