I'll actually correct myself - hyperwhites and clear sides aren't really rice... they just add to the effect when I see a Supra wing on a Integra...

Here in the DFW area, there was a bright yellow Geo Storm with a body kit, spoiler, but as far as I could tell, no performance parts. I wouldn't have been offended if it wasn't actually trying to race people... I mean comon, Civic DXs could have whooped it... that is defining rice :p

Raedeon: I totally agree with you on that 1. Why the hell would you waste your money on a Geo?!?! That guy must have been smokin the illmatic crack with a super huge crack pipe... :disgust:

My top 3:

ugly green civic hatchback with muffler completely removed to sound like a bike...

civic coupe with supra spoiler attached upside down...

90-93 Eclipse with 5" mailbox letters that said "Turbo" on one side of the bumper and (get this) "5.0" on the other...

i live by a guy who has a civic with a dual wing, one on the roof, the other on trunk. It must really stop him from taking flight.

one more thing:

90-96 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo: add about $1500 of upgrades to take it to 396hp and you have a RWD sports car that looks badass, sounds badass, has torque, acceleration, great handling (HICAS 4-wheel steering) and can smoke even tuned V8's

oh yeah and it costs less than $20k since you can only buy '96s and older

<< I mean, if you were gonna go on a date, would you want to drive a civic or an NSX? >>

Hahah, that one's easy. The Civic by far. While a stoopid stereotype the NSX suggests: "I'm a shallow bastard who needs a fast car to compensate for..." The Civic suggests: "I ain't the richest guy in the world, but I'm smart enough to spend my money intelligently."

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind a Porsche 911. ;)

I like heavy cars (Aston Martin La Mans ...discontinued...) and light cars(Prelude minus the front) but camero isnt one of em.

*sigh* C-A-M-A-R-O. spell it right.

The z28 Camaro has OWNED the Mustang GT and/or Cobra in any speed test stock for stock since at least 1993 for sure, since the LT1 was introduced in the fbody, and for DAMN SURE since 98 when the LS1 really opened a can up. And most likely before 93 too

Honda Civic is an engineeering marvel...who'd know you get 160hp outta 1.6L engine...

Strangely enough, after reading this forum, found my Honda Si friend, and me in my whimpy Honda Civic LX. Yes, a 54 hp difference here, same 1.6L engine, and no vtec.

But, no reving past 5500 rpm. The Si barely passed me. Without VTEC, the Si is trash.

Heck, I dont see many days where I get up to 5500 rpm, so for the average driver, Si is a waste of cash.

For the racer, its not too bad. Its cheaper than buying a Civic EX, and trying to get more HP through mods. It will never be ultra fast without cash, but it can look nice with min dollars.

Just my 10 Japanese Yen.

As of late, I'm realizing that it's not as big of a marvel as people think it is. Easy recepie for 100Hp/liter: Lighten all of the rotating components and strengthen them thus increasing the redline, crank up the compression ratio, and implement VTEC. Not a big deal in my eyes lately. It's not that difficult, besides finding lightweight/strong materials to use. Although I do applaud them on the S2000, that is something amazing, but IMO they created that 2.0 as a technology showcase. A larger engine should have been used in it's place, more power, not much more weight, and not so much friggin R&D!!!

Of course that 2.0, 240hp is a showcase on its own...

Somehow, in the S2000 leaflet I got, Honda mentions at the end, VERY discretly how it makes only 153 lb/ft of torque at 7500 rpm!

Of course, not everyday you can rev your engine to 8000rpm and not blow it to bits...

Can anyone explain why a 2.0L I-4 engine in the S2000 drinks as much gas as a 3.8L V6 in a Chevy?
What happens to fuel economy when VTEC is used?
