Apparently Dannon adds fluoride to their bottled water.
Nice article
Many North American and Australian municipalities fluoridate their water supplies, believing that this practice will reduce tooth decay at a low cost.
That's a good one: "Believing". Hey guys, I believe trace amounts of mercury will strengthen our immune systems. Let's add it to our water!
Small minority of scientists are pushing against the fluoride.
If you wanted to add mercury...it'd be a totally different situation.
The ironic thing is, people used to believe mercury had great healing potentials. They used to make elixirs with mercury 'believing' it would prolong your life.
Alot of new things discovered are usually hailed in the beginning and thought of as perfectly safe and then only later found to be actually harmful in long-term. It seems to be a habit of human kind. We never learn. We just adopt things immediately because hey, if it doesn't kill us right away, it must be ok right? Things like asbestos, radiation, DDT, even x-rays. An old teacher of mine used to tell us stories of when x-rays were first discovered they used to play in front of a x-ray projection machine and see their bones being dispayed, and they would do this for hours. The medical community thought there was nothing wrong. Of course doing that now we know is totally stupid.
So give it time. The rest of us will learn eventually
