As much as I hate citigroup, I get a higher cash-back than with my discover card. Until someone offers me a card with a higher cash back rate, i'm using the citi.

Cool isn't it?

I think we'll wait for her next cc statement to print and see what the (new) APR is.

It's her own damn fault, I'll see if she will sign up for the ACH payment system where they deduct at least the min pymt every month.

so she was getting 0% then, right? do what i did when i forgot, by accident  :

call them up, and sign up for credit protector fee. my bill was due on the 10th, i called and made a payment on the 10th (will register payment on the 12th), but they wont take into account the late payment (yes, they WILL know) until the 15th. at the same time, i had credit protector activated, and on the 15th, when they should adjust your apr, they saw that i had credit protector, so it was okay. then you can cancel credit protector after a month (the fee is $.69 for every $100). it saved my life, at least :)

Citi will approve a credit limit increase automatically, every six months. Just log in and click the button and you are done. I got my first citicard a few years ago with a $500 limit. Every six months I click that button. Now I'm at $5200.

p.s. they don't pull your credit report for this either.
Neat :) I've never done the manual requeston mbna as they raise mine about $500 every 4 months. Up to $5800 now :D

cool i just got $800 more :), no credit report filed

What is wrong with Capital One? I have them, but I never keep a balance on it...

I'm not sure either what the complaint is. I've had a Capital One Platinum card for several years now. Never had any problems with this company.

Lol. I work for this evil empire! I liken it to that classic political cartoon I remember from my Social Studies books growing up. You know, the one about monopolies, where Standard Oil is a big octopus. That's how I see us. My employee rate is prime + 1% so it was 5.4% last I checked. Oh and my limit is $25,000 and I never requested any increases. That has more to do with me being a charging machine in my younger years than an employee but I never missed a payment, even when they were just minimums : ) I just payed off my finance charge from last month so my balance is 0. God I hope it stays that way for a long time, but at 5% or so I can't complain.

EDIT:The OP might have helped his sister's credit score. If she's got a balance, her balance/avialable credit ratio just went a little lower!

EDIT v.2: I say Oh alot...

Mine is 5000 or 7500 and I've been with CitiBank for awhile.

Hehe sorry I was just joking, I would be in SERIOUS TROUBLE if they did give me $20k.

$5k + $2k is more than adequate besides I need to concentrate on reducing debt not increasing it (easier said than done).

Actually on many of their accounts, it's six months after you've had the card then every three months after. I should be able to hit them up for another increase next week.

(and they don't pull an inquiry on your credit report unless you fill out the "increase my limit" form)

Does clicking credit request increase effect your credit at all?

I.E. i have a Blue Cash with a 2,500 limit and have always wanted to click that button... Can it hurt? :)

No and that's what I love about it.

If you are approved for an IMMEDIATE credit line increase it will offer it to you. You can either accept or decline the credit increase.

Otherwise you will see the standard screen which asks for your salary, etc.

So if i get denied for the immediate increase, i can just exit and not worry about it? Thats pretty cool... I guess if it cant hurt i might as well click it :D

Again that's the beauty of it ... if you are NOT immediately offered an increase, DO NOT REQUEST ONE (otherwise you will be sent a decline letter).

Give it a shot, lemme know what the decision is.

All cc's do that if you are just 1 day late, not just Capital One.

I wonder also. Really, I could care less what kind of card I have. I pay my bill on time and in full every month so for the most part my CC is nothing more than a tool for purchasing online and when I don't have cash on me and that's it. *shrugs*

Btw Rossman, I had a higher limit than you when I was 19 with my CitiBank Platinum so I don't get why yours is so low.
