Hopefully our society will advance one day and recognize that males have a right to bodily integrity too. If we started circumcising female infants it would cause a huge amount of outrage.

"Her body, her choice. His body, no choice."

Interesting you say that, because a majority of the men who are circumcized (including me). Hmmm...

Smegma is underrated. It moisturizes and cleans the glans, kind of like a lotion and cleanser at the same time.
I think a lot of people don't understand the engineering marvel that is an uncircumcised penis. It's a place for glans to retract to and rejuvinate when not in use. A circumcised penis is like an airplane whose landing gear doesn't retract.
Diagrams to educate yourself. (NSFW?: Anatomical drawings of the penis)
Scroll down to figure 9. Uncircumcised penis looks like a circumcised penis when erect, but the skin has far more travel along the shaft. That allows the shaft to be stroked without dynamic friction along the exterior surface of the skin.
Why someone would voluntarily:
remove a large portion of nerve endings from their sex organ,
desensetise the remaining portion of the nerve endings,
remove the body's ability to clean and moisturize the glans,
remove the body's natural lubrication system,
and remove the body's natural protective covering for the glans,
is beyond me.
But hey, different strokes for different folks ;)

You spelled the word anesthetics wrong.

I was having problems with my back, and with hernias. So my doctor recommended a circumcision. The weight reduction was a real godsend.

The circumcized penis loses a great deal of nerve tissue so is less sensitive -- and it develops a callous making it even less sensitive. In women, we call this barbaric practice "genital mutilation"

Yeah, I really worry about this loss of sensitivity. Wanna help me test it out?

Other than that, there are no advantages.

Actually, in some men the foreskin can be excessively tight, and therefore uncomfortable or impossible to retract. These men benefit from adult circumcision.

I'm uncut, and I wasn't born in US. Good thing, 'cause knowing my mom, had it been here, I'd probably have my precious snipped.
A friend of mine who currently lives in Israel inquired extensively among his friends on this topic. As you may know, it's pretty much a requirement for new immigrants who come to Israel and become citizens, to undergo circumcision. The older you are , the more painful it is.

A lot of those people he asked about it, said they'd give anything to return the foreskin and the sensitivity with it. They say, sex now feels like putting three thick rubber condoms on. Plus, the skin on the head becomes a lot more scarred due to constant exposure and friction against the clothes. And it's not a pretty sight.

Circumcision cuts these off and diminishes the pleasure derived from sex.

That would be consistent with a sex-phobic society.

Wouldn't want people actually enjoying themselves, right?

the most lyrical, poetic description of an uncircumcised penis I've ever heard. :)

I'm 22, thinking of having it done within the next couple of years
mostly cometic reasons, but I think my frenulum is kinda tight and I would like it gone

and some of the adults who have it done, like it
http://www.circumcisioncenter.com/feedback.htm

that is also the place I plan to have it done at, pretty expensive at $1500, but you've only got one and I don't want it messed up
