A little harder to get in Hawaii. Some games and the PSP sold out the same day.

I love mine, it has 4 dead pixels but no biggie. Don't really notice when playing

I'm thinking about buying one of these in addition to my DS, but I'm not sure it's worth it yet.

I love my DS, no problems, no dead pixels, and I have a few neat games that are innovative and fun. It's a little bit big (having been used to my SP), but then again, the PSP is bigger still.

Can somebody explain to me:

a) how bad is the dead pixel problem on the PSP?

b) what is the value proposition of this handheld? It seems like all it will have in terms of library is rehashed games that can be found on any of my consoles. I'm not sure I want to rebuy a copy of a game I already own, that I've probably already beaten. Will there be a lot of games that are good enough that I would have to buy this handheld to play anything like it? Why is there so much hype around the PSP, do people know something I don't?

lol.
Sony pwned itself-

WOOT!

On ebay all the PSPs are selling for the same price that the DS's sold for the first week-

how do I know?
I sold 10 of em. sold 10, and got mine free.

When I thought about egaying the PSP, something told me it would be DOA.
and -TADAA!
haha.

go sony-
go dead pixels!
go stuck button!
and go fake analog!
i could go on... lol.

The PSP is sold out at our local super walmart in Titusville, FL. However, I think there are a few places around that still have them in stock here, though. I think the price is preventing a sellout.

I love my PSP. No dead pixel and Wipeout Pure rules 😀! The best Wipeout since Wipeout XL 🙂. A Killer App.
I like all the stuff you can do with it.
Yep, it's pricey. Though if you got the money, it's worth it.

Picked one up at Costco for $319+tax - included 2 extra games , demo DVD, memory stick 32MB and spiderman 2 dvd - very cool device no dead pixels - just waiting to use this as a browser and for e-mail 🙂

Thanks.

i really want to nab one now but knowing sony, they'll have their own issues with the first generation batch. already, there's dead pixels, stuck buttons and reports of flying discs. i haven't visited my local best buy yet so i don't know how it's selling in the nyc area but i know there were tons of people waiting on line wednesday night/thursday morning to nab one.

Yeah good luck driving back to Best Buy and getting your money back or a replacement same day.....lol Unless you paid for that god awful expensive warranty they offer and even then they tell you that they have to send it back to sony and youshould get a new one in about 2 weeks........yeah Best Buy is for me to poop on.
Um BBY has a 30 day (or 14 day on some items) return policy if you've got a reciept. As long as you bring back everything and it hasent been abused. Doesnt even have to be defective. Exceptions are notebooks and digital camera/camcorders which are 14days and 15% restocking fee if not defective.

Dude I understand their policy, but they give you a load of crap before they honor it.

Do they sell these at costco B&M???

Last Thrusday I went to Costco they have at least 40 of them sitting around. I advise whoever going to get a PSP buy it from Costco. Due to the chance of getting dead pixels on the screen. Gamestop and EBGames don't let you return or exchange for dead pixels.
