CC has I/O Magic 8x dual format DVD burner for $139.99 - $60 rebates - $44 (110% PM to Staples weekly flyer) = $36 + tax.
Just picked up my drive at 9:00pm today and so far no problems with the price match.
Steps to make it easy for you.
1. goto Circuit city and seach for IOMAGIC 8x Dual format DVD burner "IMM IDVDRW8D"
2. order online and choose pickup at store, online is already OOS, if your lucky they may have some
3. drag your lazy butt to staples and pick up thier weekly flier, you have a way better chance of getting the PM with the flier. worst comes to worst, you can do a dumpster diving for the sunday circular. otherwise you can try this just choose "select another location" then enter you ZIP code and search for it.
4. goto to the CC and pick up the item. inocently ask who ever is working with you if they price match and pull out the staples flier that you picked up earlier.
5. if everything goes as planned, walah!! you got: $139.99 - $60 rebates - $44 (110% PM to Staples flyer) = $36 + tax
If you get snagged by a SOB CSrep, don't worry, you can send in your email confirmation as a reciept for the rebate and print out the rebate forms from CC website.
Manufacturer rebate form
Circuit City rebate
Good luck!! Happy Hunting!!
EDIT: I/O Magic doesn't manufacture thier own drives but OEM other drives. I got is a BTC DVDRW1008IM. You can see this on the Model number sticker on the drive itself. I'm not familiar with the outside S/N stuff.
