Did the organization that was paying her stop paying for the hotel room that she was staying at? If so, was it because it was pointed out that she was staying in a hotel room rather than the tent, as had been being reported?

Do you know WHY she's sleeping in a hotel room? Because the county sherriff ASKED her to because of DEATH THREATS.

There's Christian values for you... death threats against a mother of a dead soldier.

I suppose it would be futile to ask for a link that not only details these death threats, but one that can conclusively link them to a "Christian?"

No, but I'll agree with her. I think George W. Bush and his administraion are and represent pure evil.

"Satan" is just one of many metaphoric names for evil. If you go beyond that and throw your religion at me, I'll just laugh at you.

Hitler is often used as another metaphor for evil, but he his cronies were real and as evil as could possibly exist. If you examine the objectives and methods the Bush administration has used, you'll find strikingly frightening similarities.

They took the country to war based on lies.

They continue to foster divisive hatred among Americans based on religion.

They continue to exceed and abuse their legal authority to subvert best interests of all citizens under the guise of laws speciously named to imply the opposite of their intended effects and simultaneously rewarding. A couple of examples include:

The Clear Skies intitiative -- Intended to subvert pollution standards and reward polluters.

The Patriot Act -- Intended to subvert our civl rights formerely guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

The recently passed energy bill -- Rewarding the same oil companies with tax breaks while currently tearing us a new asshole with record fuel prices. It's interesting that the cost of crude is only a small part of the cost of fuel. While Americans are paying record high prices for fuel, oil company profits are also at record highs.

The Bush administration lies without conscience to further their own perverted objectives. They lie to smear those who oppose them. They lie to cover their own illegalities and inadequacies. They spread their lies as propoganda intended to hide the falicy behind their very existance.

How much do you want? I could pile half the threads in P&N into this one post, and I wouldn't cover half of the lies and deceit the Bushwhackos have foisted on the American people or one tenth the damage they have done to the country and the world.

They are arguably possibly the most malevolent adminstration in U.S. history, not because we haven't had bad administrations in the past, but because they haven't learned better in light of our past bad examples.

If Cindy Sheehan chooses to compare Bush to satan or Hitler, I believe she's on solid ground. :|

So Harvey, Bush is Satan, right, Who is Cindy Sheehan? A saintly angel aligning her talented but mis-guided powers with the leftwingers and St. Michael Moore, perhaps?

She has made her point to the disrespect of not only Crawfords legal landowners but to her own dead son and other still living family.
She is not right, no matter how wrong Satan is or not...

There is no real difficulty in understanding the problem here. It is completely natural and understandable that a mother would be upset if her child was murdered by Bush to further his own political gains. The only difficulty that arises is for those too stupid to see it is exactly what happened.

Oh these threads just make me giggle. If I was still keeping a vault, this post would definitely go into it.

But while on the subject, we've covered the Hitler ground before. Just curious - how would he be compared to Satan? I mean, even Hitler made some nice roads, and his actions resulted in some really good war movies and books, not to mention lots of good threads in the internets. What good has Satan done?

It would be horribly frightening if you were ever put into a position of authority...however menial or insignificant, because I'm afraid you couldn't act with even the slightest objectivity.

F*ck her. I am totally sick and tired of hearing her whine and all the stupid press coverage on this woman. why is she getting so much press?? why dont the parents of the men and women killed who are proud that their son or daughter did their duty get any press time?

It's currently classifed information, on a need to know basis only. We are talking about a human beings life here. The "loopies" just can't stand her. She's given a face to the dead soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrafice...whether they supported the Iraqi invasion or not.

Once again you violate the rules of the board.

a 'CUT & PASTE" does not qualify as your own authentic input.

This thread should be locked - as should ALL the threads that you start without following the rules.

I don't think you'd learn even if you were repeatedly warned, vacationed, or banned.

Ha ha that's rich coming from you - king of the One line comment.

Agreed. Kirk, you might want to check you own history on this subject, as I'm seeing Zen's multiple paragraph comment vs your one line "this is wrong" one.
You're a wierd one man. Do you like just coming in and dissecting arguments between others?

When in doubt, smear her out.

I've no doubt that Sheehan has become the target of a smear campaign, but at the same time, that doesn't mean that any and all accusations against her are null and void.

Ignoring the suggested implications and rhetoric, while sticking just with the "facts," still should cause any rational person, whether you agree with her stance or not, to question her motives. While I'll not jump aboard the "she's just a dirty liberal pawn" bandwagon, I can't fathom how so many can still claim that she is merely a grief-stricken mother, struggling with dealing with her loss. She has shown herself to be calculating and deliberate, and she has aligned herself with extremists groups as a means for her "goals."

No, Sheehan may not be the devil herself, but the idea that she is an angel, pure as the driven snow, is just as absurd, yet apparently subscribed to by many here as well. Yet another day at the black v white office, I suppose.

She's a grieving mother with the stamina to stick to her guns and she's getting help from whomever will offer it. Turnabout is fair play and the right's effort to "kill the mesenger" just seems to keep blowing up in their faces on this one. They're using their same tried and true tactics, but for some reason they can't get anything to stick.

Maybe it's because the truth instead of the lies of this war have finally sank into the general public??

I fail to understand how anyone can bitch about a smear campaign, while participating in the exact same thing from the opposite end of the spectrum. The right extremists are accusing her of murdering puppies, while the left extremists are busy trying to connect her bloodline to that of Jesus!
Its not just the right extremists its the regular republicans from your beautiful state who shoot shotguns and vandalize.

For the same reason they don't give press time to Yankees fans that live in New York. The 1 or 2 Boston fans brave enough to speak out get the air time.

Edit: and btw - do we really need another Sheehan thread. Hope it isn't time to grab them all together and sticky it like the Swift Boat threads had to. But is seems there will be an endless amount of "fvck this b!tch" posts coming from the fanbois.

Are liberals really that uncommon nowadays?

Funny. The only face I've seen is hers, and it's not a face one cares to dwell upon either.

LOL, she's pretty.....effecitive.

She sure is! Too bad she is not attractive, but hey, that is just all the more reason to smear her and discredit what she says.

Isn't it obvious. She has revealed to everybody that Bush is a moral coward hiding from her truth. That is real news for some.

WTF? 😕

One of us has been actively contributing to this thread while the other just now showed up to make a single, off-topic comment.

Did I miss a memo about today being Irony Demonstration Day or something?

Your own "input" is never, ever critical, nor does it ever exhibit any apparent thought. I'd be sincerely interested in your linking to a single thread in which your "original input" consisted of anything but partisan bashing. You may have made such a post, but I sure haven't seen it.

Posting op-ed puff pieces from radical-right websites, then adding a sentence or two of "Yeah, they're right!" does not constitute "original input" on your part.

So we ban 90% of the people on this forum?

Or are we only banning moderates and Republicans who do these things? If so then that would spare 90% of the forums from the ban and then you could all post your rhetoric and party bashing without contempt.

PATRICK SHEEHAN SPEAKS OUT!!!

Text

President Bush might have a few more allies in his stalemate with activist Cindy Sheehan - Sheehan's family.

"My kids and I feel like we've had two losses: Casey and now our wife and mother," Cindy's estranged husband, Patrick Sheehan, tells People magazine. "The kids are angry and lonely for her." His wife has been camped outside Bush's ranch in Crawford, Tex., since Aug. 6, hoping to talk to the President about the death of her soldier son, Casey, in Iraq.

Son Andrew, 21, adds: "I think she should come home."

My family supports me. My family supports me. Blah blah blah wah wah wah.

Yeah right, what a lying sack of sh!t.

They may be getting worried about her saftey, what with the death threats and all. You know, it's dangerous voicing any opinion these days.
