Chrono Trigger: Best. RPG. Ever. w/Poll

I just started playing this game again for the first time in probably 7 or 8 years and I freaking love this game. This game is just so awesome on so many levels. I started playing it sometime this afternoon between 11:30 and 1:00 (don't remember) 😉 and ended up turning the PS2 off at around 9:40. The game time was at almost exactly 7 hours but the game was running for the whole duration.
Anyone else remember this game? I love everything about this game except for the slow load times (damn PS1 discs...). Everything from the music to the character design (Akira Toriyama) is phenomenal. I absolutely could not stop playing this game and I'm sick as a dog right now. I got very little sleep last night yet I could not stop playing this game.
Best.
RPG.
Ever.

Not the best for me... but definitely up in the top 3... 🙂

A Link to the Past
Chrono Trigger
FF VII

...in any order.

One of the best easily. Its one of those games that no sequel could possibly top, so Square shouldn't even try 🙂

Definitely some great RPGs listed there. I would also have to add Chrono Cross to the list (sorry, I'm a huge fan of this series) as well as FFVIII. I know a lot of people didn't like FFVIII but I did so poo on you 😛
I just thought of another old-school RPG that I love:
Mario RPG for SNES
That's right, Mario RPG for SNES. I have yet to meet anyone who's played this game and *not* liked it. This game is right up there with the rest of 'em, as far as I'm concerned.
Anyone else remember this one?

Awesome game!!!!! It was definitely worth the $75 it was selling for at the time. One of the greatest games of all time, if not the best one.

Please, explain. I've never played Earthbound and I'm not even sure I've ever heard of it...
It's hard to explain, Earthbound is just a work of genius. It's pretty much a cult classic type game, if you like it you really love it and if you don't like it, you don't like it. I've been trying to score the cartrage on ebay, but they run for about 40 bucks, which at the moment is too much to pay for an SNES game, but there is always emulation 😀

What's the story of Chrono Trigger? Maybe I should try it one day.

My favorites are FF3 & FF7.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier:
here's a review of the game. If you search I'm sure you can find something more in-depth but that gives you a good idea what the game is like.
