Chrono Trigger was my second favorite RPG of all time. (Beat only by Baldurs Gate 2)

This news makes me die a little inside. Thanks a lot square enix, may you rot in hell.

Exactly... they could give them the funds they need to become a real development team and create a complete remake. It could've been something VERY nice. I don't like Square-Enix even more now (FFXI was a first blow to my feelings about the company).

They could have a very profitable AAA title. CT was my favorite RPG.

In all fairness, let's remember that Square-Enix is still actively selling Chrono Trigger. It's in the Final Fantasy Chronicles pack, which is still available at most video game retailers new for $19.99, with Final Fantasy IV (II on the SNES).

If they were remaking Einhander and got C&Ded, I'd feel for them. Honest. But doing a remake of a game that's still sold is both stupid and underhanded in equal parts.

The pics look good but the video was awesome. A lot of talent with that group.

It's kinda sad to see an awesome work go to waste. I think square enix should at least pick up on the idea and make a 3d chronotrigger remake or something, with or without these guys. Although I am very impressed by the talent of this group and would like to see their new work. I don't know if it'll be as awesome as this remake tho, just being Chronotrigger lends a lot to any remake. Man that game was awesome.
