You may not need religion in general and the media paints a pretty bad picture of christianity for sure. But if you go to any jail in the usa you will find that just about all the inmates are atheists or not christians. The Christians that do follow God and are "christ like" are also the ones who truly are just kind people. I know in my church we are taught to love the person but hate the sin. Meaning that nobody is perfect and that you dont have the right to treat them like trash or second rate people. In fact in my church we are taught strongly to deal with your own problems or sins before even thinking about dealing with others...and I find that to be quite scriptural.Always a victim. It's not anti-Christian. It's anti-religion.
We don't need those things.
OP-I think it would be best to actually talk to your pastor about what he thinks and what you think before you start believing every christian is such and such.
