I find Fundamentalist Christians every bit as irrelevant and laughable as the Islamic Jihadists.

Weener's Bible only has 8 commandments (so he can avoid that and coveting his neighbor's wife).

I think one of Obama's main visions, should he assume Presidency, is to do away with this notion of "liberal" being a dirty word. Make no mistake, he is a classic liberal in every sense of the word and the policies he wants to implement are left-leaning in nature.

Kruschev was delighted that John Kennedy won and tried to take advantage of him. Al Qaeda will do the same.
Your ignorance of the political history of your own country is showing. Kennedy ran to the RIGHT of Nixon on national defense, decrying the "missile gap" with Russia and the somewhat obscure position of the Eisenhower admin NOT to go to war with mainland China if they attacked and occupied the small islands of Quemoy and Matsu.
If you have even ONE credible link that Khrushchev was delighted that Kennedy won, post it or admit your massive FAIL.
Perhaps even you remember Kennedy's inaugural speech, sport?
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans?born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage?and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
It was before your time, little buddy, when both Democrats and Republicans alike were ALL fierce cold warriors.
I really can't stand prattling ignoramuses like you who don't even know relatively recent American history, and so confidently spout unsubstantiated bullcrap.
Read this book, page 484:

'In fact, he disliked Nixon intensely, regarding him as a McCarthyite cold warrior who had shown his true colors during his 1959 Soviet visit. Therefore, although he had met Kennedy only once, during their brief 1959 Senate encounter during which he told Kennedy he looked too young to be a senator, Kruschchev decided to 'vote' Democratic'
Kruschchev was so delighted by Kennedy's victory on November 4. Sergei remembered, that he positively "beamed with satisfaction. He jokingly referred to Kennedy's triump as a gift he had received for the anniversary of the revolution."'
Let's see how many times Obama talks about the Al Qaeda presence in Iraq in his inaugural speech.

All are plausible scenarios if Democrat Barack Obama is elected president, according to a new addition to the campaign conversation called "Letter from 2012 in Obama's America," produced by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family Action.
The best thing I believe that would come out of an Obama victory is that these Moron's influence would be greatly compromised which IMO would be good for America. Maybe calling these people Christians is actually doing a disservice to real Christians , you know those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus.

I wouldn't go as far as to agree with JohnOfSheffield's rhetoric, but in principle, I think he is correct. There is not a great deal of difference between radical Muslims and the radical right who associate their religion with the movement, betray and twist the principles at the core of the religion and denigrate those who don't follow it exactly their religion in exactly their way or don't agree with their political positions.
Everyone here should be able to see the problem; to be able to see the difference between a moderate Christian and the radical right claiming the label Christian as a part of a political movement.
