Kruschev was delighted that John Kennedy won and tried to take advantage of him. Al Qaeda will do the same.
Your ignorance of the political history of your own country is showing. Kennedy ran to the RIGHT of Nixon on national defense, decrying the "missile gap" with Russia and the somewhat obscure position of the Eisenhower admin NOT to go to war with mainland China if they attacked and occupied the small islands of Quemoy and Matsu.
If you have even ONE credible link that Khrushchev was delighted that Kennedy won, post it or admit your massive FAIL.
Perhaps even you remember Kennedy's inaugural speech, sport?
We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans?born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage?and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
It was before your time, little buddy, when both Democrats and Republicans alike were ALL fierce cold warriors.
I really can't stand prattling ignoramuses like you who don't even know relatively recent American history, and so confidently spout unsubstantiated bullcrap.
