THIS is Christie's moment.

IF Obama wins then come 2016 Marco Rubio is going to clear the field. The right wing media LOVE the guy. He is like the second coming or Reagan reincarnate. He is certain to be at the top of the VP list.

As long as he doesn't self-destruct he will be the Republican nominee in either 2016 or 2020.

It will be like Dole in 1996 and Bush in 2000 where everyone knew they were going to be the nominee before the race even started.

Seriously, what are Rubio's qualifications for office? You guys complained about Obama's short Senate term and here's another carbon copy of a repub version.

You'd be exactly right if he were running for President in 2012. And frankly I'd like to see him serve a term or two as governor before running for President - no need to repeat our mistake with Obama, and even six years in the Senate can't substitute for executive and preferably private sector experience.

You know he is a Senator, not a Governor don't you?

Here would be his qualifications in 2016 (assuming he stayed in his current senate seat)

Member of Fl House for 9 years
Speaker of FL House for 2 years
Senator for 6 years.

Obama's qualification:
Illinois Senate for 8 years
Senator for 4 years

I don't think either of them should be President with that resume, but Rubio was a member of the leadership in the Fl house while Obama has a history of voting 'present' on tough issues.

Rubio is very likely to be the VP candidate because he is from Fl and is hispanic. That combination just about means the end of Obama's chances. Rick Perry is probably the only one who doesn't pick him since they overlap. But Romney/Rubio makes a lot of sense.

The northern moderate with the southern latino who is loved by the Tea Party types would be nearly impossible for Obama to beat.

Head over to 270 to win and play with the combinations.

NC and IN are going to flip for sure, Obama barely won both states.
Florida flips with Rubio on the ticket.
Next comes Ohio which Obama won by 5% and Virginia which he won by 6%
If Rubio helps you win EITHER Colorado or Nevada and the GOP wins.

Flip Obama's 6 weakest states and Obama loses, and everyone of those states voted for Bush twice. And all of them except Ohio have a history of voting Republican.

Does anybody give a shit? DO the republicans not have enough candidates right now ?

I love how main stream media talks about Bachman, Perry, Can, and Romney, ignores Ron Paul, and talks about how this Christie guy isn't running...

What a joke.
