I used to live in this very small redneck town in florida, and where i worked at, everybody was an alcoholic (exaggerating of coarse) anyways, I was talking to a bunch of co workers on break and somebody brought up chocolate and beer, at that point it seemed like everybody was going to leave early to go pick up a 6 pack with 2 snickers bar. The closest thing Ive had with chocolate and alcohol was some of my mother bailey drink. is the taste anything similar to that?

Some good suggestions here. I might use some of them to re-create an item from a local place - they blend chocolate stout and cinnamon ice cream to create a "milkshake" and it's mighty tasty.

LOL. No. Comparing Bailey's to a chocolate stout is like comparing a vanilla milkshake to a cup of coffee.

ive had bison organic chocolate...not even a hint of chocolate, imo, but ive only had it once. ft collins chocolate stout isnt bad, with just enough at the finish to make you go mmmmm

i havent had brooklyns. ive had their brown ale and it wasnt bad, and i woulda said it had a hint of something almost chocolatey to it.

i had a youngs, but it was a long, long time ago, and i wasnt into beer at the time, and thought it was horrible. i should try another. and i should try to find a really, really nice beer store. anyone in the Raleigh area care to recommend one?
