A few years ago I was seeing all kinds MD's. And was still unable to go to work. I had pain in the lower left back and shooting pain with numbness down the left leg. The muscles in the leg were so tight I was unable to place my foot flat on the ground. The pain was so bad it took 30-45 minutes to dress myself. Sometimes I could not even do it by myself. Unable to sleep, drive, work, walk, stand up,sit down,or lay down without pain.
After a month with no improvement. And surgery being the next step. I gave in and went to a Chiorpractor. In less than 3 weeks I was back at work! And off the pain meds. Their was still some pain but nothing I could not put up with.
Now I rarely have any pain and when it starts I go in for an adjustment.(avg. 1 visit per 2-3 months)
I am one of the people that swear by them.
Just a little hint in what to look for. I found a MD that was also a Chiorpractor.(or a Chiorpractor that is also a MD)😉
And like me he would rather not use meds. If it can be avoided. When I go in I get the treatment I need to control the problem. Whether its an adjustment or medication. He can provide whatever it takes.
I know other people that have gotton no improvement from chiorpractic treatments. It probaly depends on what is causing the problem.
Good Luck
