Chipotle vs Qdoba

They taste incredibly similar to me. Someone told me (though I doubt it's true) that Qdoba was founded by disowned members of the same family that opened Chipotle after a falling out.

Anywho, I still like Chipotle a little better. The ingredients have bit more kick, and the salsas are much higher quality IMO. Plus, all their attempts at eco-friendliness is cool.

edit-man, I got warped two-fold?

I've had Chipotle about a dozen times from work-sponsored events. Other than it being filling, I can't remember them actually tasting very good. Their stuff is a bunch of bland ingredients with some sauce thrown in at the last minute. None of the weak tastes blend together, it just tastes boring. I went there once by myself and was astounded at the pricing for such crap.

I'd rather cook at home. I have yet to try Qdoba.

I went to Qdoba twice. First time it sucked ass, but was very busy so I figured maybe they messed up due to the rush. So, I gave it another try. Still sucked ass.

Chipotle is good every time. Plus I get to think of this commercial when I go there 😀

I've only eaten Qdoba once and they just put in a Chipotle a couple months ago and I haven't had a chance to try it.

The only thing 'doba has on 'potle is the queso burrito. And even still chipotle is a clear winner. Better tortillas, meat, and cheaper

haven't eaten at Qdoba for years since I moved away from their area. Don't think I've ever eaten at a chipotle I do like Pancheros where I live now.

Always like the green salsa at the Q

Chipotle is better than Qdoba. I'm sad that there's only Qdoba in N. Nevada. Qdoba isn't bad, but it's not Chipotle.

Also, for johnjohn320, Chipotle is McDonald's-owned and Qdoba is Jack-in-the-Box-owned.

Can't speak for Qdoba, but Chipotle is definitely not owned by McDonald's. McD's used to own significant Chipotle stock, but sold it completely off in '06. Besides, that wouldn't explain who founded them.

Baja Fresh when it first opened was AWESOME. Those days are gone...

One of the Baja Fresh restaurants in NJ was actually shut down for health violations lol. Chipotle by a landslide --it tastes fresher and feels less like fast food. Also, better guac.

This one is tough. I have much more experience with Chipotle, but all we had back home was Qdoba (relatively new at the time, and I had it after Chipotle).

I like Qdoba much more. Both places are more or less identical; though Qdoba has more variety.
