Things that make me doubt this story:

1. They did not think about the possibility that shooting him might cause him to fall and drag the child with him?

2. They didn't send him to the morgue before putting him in a coffin?

3. They didn't even bother to check his pulse

1. The kid was inside and the kidnapper was leaning inside when he was shot. I'm sure the cop would have dropped the gun and grabbed the kid.

2. They should have just left his carcass in the street.
