Chinese college kid gets crushed by an elevator. *Live Leak.

**Warning** NSFW 😱

It's not really that gory, but he does die. Keep that in mind.

What a way to go.

This site is Anandtech - last for letters: tech. This is the off topic area for a tech forum, not the Something Awful forums, or 4chan. Post your gore, videos of people dying for the purpose of shock value there, not here. The moderators took a bit of time deciding whether or not to remove this link. All of us who commented didn't like the link being here, and it appears the general sentiment in this thread is against such threads, so that helped form the decision to remove the link. (And a thought process - would we really want someone posting a new "watch this guy die" video every day or every week?) -Admin DrPizza

I usually take the stairs, now im definitely always taking the fucking stairs!

I remember seeing something like that in the first resident evil movie and a mission impossible movie, always gave me the creeps.

Don't more people die taking the stairs?

:hmm:

What I don't get was the initial reaction of the guy stepping on the elevator as it starts to go upward. It's like he's trying to get into it before it goes. My ass would be dodging backwards as fast a possible out of that doorway.

Odd door arrangement, it closes from the top down instead of the 2 door system used here in the US. Shitty design and or maintenance took a young life, I couldn't watch it till the end as he was struggling to get out and had no chance, depressing. Liveleak has quite a few vids of people dying, one where a dude in the UK was going 97MPH on a bike and someone makes a left turn in front of him and he T-bone's the car, he had a Go-Pro mounted on his helmet so the whole thing was captured in HD as he went airborne upon impact and broke his neck when landing. Another vid shows a dude jumping off Hoover Dam and sliding down the face and it's quite gory.

The doors opened side to side like normal. The elevator car rapidly ascended after the doors opened, which caused him to get stuck between the car and the ceiling.

I don't think there was time to react really. He was already moving forward, stubbed his toes and tripped onto the elevator floor. I think he did try to step out, but his balance was still in transition and his leg in an awkward position when he got pinned. Looked like a pretty fast elevator.

OK, I had another look and your correct, that wasn't a door I was seeing it was the wall of the elevator shaft. Looks like some type of sensor or control system malfunction. Any system like an elevator should have multiple redundancies built into it so a tragic event like this can't happen.

Don't know why someone would want to post the video of someone dying. Surprised the OP hasn't posted a beheading video yet.

This is something that's always bothered me. I'll never get the need to share videos of people getting killed. I only read the thread to see if I was the only one. Thank you for speaking up even though you're in the minority in this thread.
