Don't know why someone would want to post the video of someone dying. Surprised the OP hasn't posted a beheading video yet.

Liveleak has quite a few of them but I'd never start a thread about one, I watched 2-3 then stopped, it's depressing to watch someone commit suicide or get launched from a bike going 97MPH..

This is something that's always bothered me. I'll never get the need to share videos of people getting killed. I only read the thread to see if I was the only one. Thank you for speaking up even though you're in the minority in this thread.

Just to observe how fragile life can be.

The family of the guy on the bike (and the law) blamed the driver, wtf. Dunno if the driver was cleared

Not interested in watching. Even as vile as I consider the human race I still don't like to watch a human die or suffer.

What a crappy way to go, it probably destroyed his spine and rest of damage was suffocation. Imagine being pinned there knowing you're life is pretty much over, even if you do make it out alive.

You would think elevators would have some kind of brake system that is completely separate from the regular system, which would activate breaks when the door opens. Basically to ensure even if something goes wrong the car can't move if the doors or open. Some kind of mechanical interlock system.

Then again, this is China. Safety is not exactly something they think about there.

When this shock value crap first started appearing online I watched a few. The video of Nick Berg was a real turning point for me. I saw a few more after that and decided that people die all the time, and I don't want to watch unless I have to. Oh, and I respect the people who have to. It has to affect them.

I gave adequate warnings. Also, my link is not to the actual video, but to a Live Leak warning page. People who click on the link know full well what they are viewing.

We are all adults. I didn't post pornographic images or an x-rated site. I posted to a very popular site that's viewed legally by thousands of people daily.

This is worse than porn, and you are a fool for posting the above rationalization.

Mods, please ban this child.

Yeah, out of curiosity, Nick Berg was the one video I've ever watched and it was enough for me to not need to watch another one again. And being at the Finish Line during the Boston Marathon bombings, seeing the all the carnage live in person, I have conditioned myself to never watch any of the uncensored video from that day.

There's nothing interesting or fun watching someone die and posting it is just disrespectful.

I see fault on both sides, going 97 in a 60 leaves little to no room to react and the car that pulled in front either didn't look or misjudged his closing speed which is easy to do with the small size of a bike.

The elevator actually goes up, thats trippy.

Thats why he couldn't do anything to get out because before he knew it his knee was at the same height as his head meanwhile his momentum was going forward to step into the elevator.

There was a story where that happened to only the persons head in a hospital, and well... yea there was only half a head left. The force of that is tremendous. If that were to happen to just a limb, its coming off off via scissor action. Thats like having your whole body too big to cut by scissors with 8,000+lbs of force behind them.

I cringed and was thinking 50-50 chance it cuts him in two. :/

That is literally the worst thing I believe I have ever seen. That wasn't suffocation.

<snip>

I get what you're saying, but I just feel there are other ways to get that. Watching someone die badly as it's suggested here (I haven't nor will I watch the video) is a bit overkill for that. I can't help but think it's targeting a certain kind of mental.

So merely saying it's NSFW gives it an automatic okay? If that's the case I have some pretty decent "NSFW" porn to post or ISIS beheadings.

Ok. You saw carnage at Boston marathon bombing. If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen. No one is forcing you to watch and no one wants to hear your sermon.

I think the moderators here have final say on what is or isn't allowed and the link is still there, so is the thread. FWIW, although horrible for some, this video looks sped up. Also, there is no audio, blood, or anything else that would move an audience (including the victim's face). This mitigates the impact.

2 full pages of replies and not a single pun yet? I was wondering if maybe ATOT had learned some class. But as I think about it, it's probably just due to a lack of any of them being able to come up with something they perceive as witty & funny here.

Its an open forum, you don't have to read it. There are tons of videos online like this, and there is an entire sub reddit called /watchingpeopledie

Get over it.

I think this thread is in bad taste and the OP is a moron for starting it.

I respectfully disagree.

Death is part of life. At least the guy did not have a stroke, fight cancer for years, have his neck broke and live for decades relying on a machine.

My grandfather suffered from Alzheimer for several years before he died.

Which is worse, not knowing your own wife (my grandmother), your kids, your grand kids for years, or suffocating to death in a few minutes?

None of us are guaranteed tomorrow or even next hour. The kid was robbed of his life, I am sorry for that. But he could have just as easily been hit and killed by a drunk driver.

We do not live life without facing death. There is nothing in bad taste about death, it is a fact of life.

Nobody is making you read this thread or watch the video. Do not like it, move on.
