easy recipe for gai lan in oyster sauce:

cut up garlic in small slices

heat up wok with some oil. put garlic in and turn into brown

put in gailan and toss a bit

put in oyster sauce, and toss again

serve!

Chinese broccoli the best? Hmm...all depends on how it is prepared. Hypothetically, if both types are prepared equally well, they're both good stuff. BTW, Oyster sauce on regular broccoli is pretty good too. :)

Its good, but in a different way. I wuldnt eat it all the time,just as I wouldnt with anyone else. Put an option in poll saying equally good. I would have voted that.

yep. that's how they prepare it if you order it during dim sum.

yep. that's how they prepare it if you order it during dim sum.

how long do u boil em for?

Eh not a fan really, I suppose its decent. I really like the pea shoots (like watercrest?) in garlic sauce. Mmmmmmy favorite vegetable

I've only ever had just "broccoli"

I have no idea where it comes from, but I like Broccoli.. maybe I will look for this chinese stuff! :p

I'm glad someone said it. I can't get it at the american grocery stores... but at Chinese stores its like $0.50 a bunch, a huge bunch.... mmm... love it.:p

yes, these are my favorite leafy vegtables. pea shoots aka Dou miao.
